Mara White is a contemporary romance and erotica writer who laces forbidden love stories with hard issues, such as race, gender and inequality. She holds an Ivy League degree but has also worked in more strip clubs than even she can remember. She is not a former Mexican telenovela star contrary to what the tabloids might say, but she is a former ballerina and will always remain one in her heart. She lives in NYC with her husband and two children and yes, when she’s not writing you can find her on the playground.

Hi Jenna,
Thank you for reading and for reaching out! I wrote this novel as a standalone, but I am taking into consideration the response from so many readers for more of these two characters. I will keep everyone updated as to what is coming next.
I appreciate the feedback!

I did originally write Maldeamores as a standalone, but I'm taking into consideration the overwhelming response for more of these two characters.
I appreciate the feedback so much!

"2,5 ⭐!

Disclaimer:

This review is a reflection of the things I felt while reading this book and it doesn't in any way mean to offend the author.

I rate the books and the characters not the authors because I'm no expert to.

"24 Chapters, plus epilogue.

She, He, They, His, Her, He, Salana, Santiago-Tiago. Third party writing. Feels like the author is telling me a story. I do not like the writing style.

“Before Jaylee, I was always under the impression that people cheated on their spouses because they were seeking something outside of the marriage that was missing. I’m not sure if anything was lacking in my marriage to Robert. I wasn’t looking; Jaylee just happened. Now I fear that I will never again experience the heights of desire that I feel when I’m with him and I’m mourning it before it’s even gone.”
Mara White, Heights of Desire

“Love is triumphant, until we all fall down.”
Mara White, Fear of Heights

“In Spanish, for giving birth, they say, giving light. My ma swears up and down that I was born to save her life.”
Mara White, Maldeamores

“People are always in various stages of different dramas when you encounter them: freshly embarked on some, halfway or more through others. One is always approaching the denouement of this or that subplot of one’s life. And you, the stranger, entering the picture in all your blundering innocence, may well be the catalyst for some long-awaited climax.”
James Lasdun, Give Me Everything You Have: On Being Stalked

“Books are finite, sexual encounters are finite, but the desire to read and to fuck is infinite; it surpasses our own deaths, our fears, our hopes for peace.”
