Margo Kelly loves to be scared … when she’s reading a good book, watching a good movie, or suffering from the hiccups. She enjoys writing mysteries and thrillers for young adults and hopes her stories give readers the goose bumps or the itchies or the desire to rethink everyday things. Margo is a native of the Northwest and currently resides in Idaho. Her award-winning debut, Who R U Really?, and her second novel, Unlocked, are both available through Simon Pulse (an imprint of Simon & Schuster). Margo welcomes opportunities to speak to youth groups, library groups, and book clubs. For more information visit: www.margokelly.net ...more

Hyde Park Books is awesome. I love that store and its owner. :) And YES! - - - Who R U Really? is perfect for a 14-yr-old. I recommend it for mature 11-yr-olds and up. There's no sex, but there is a conversation that skirts around cyber-sex. There's no bad language, but there is violence during the climax at the end. I hope 2015 brings you all the books you want - - - and time to read them all. :)(less)

I love to write scary stories, because I love to be scared. Seriously! From a young age, I would stay up late at night watching scary movies, all alone and in the dark! Now my daughter and I watch movies in the dark together. Our family doesn't play "Hide & Seek" - we play "Hide & Scare" - - - we hide with the goal of jumping out and scaring the person who's seeking. It's funny (and startling). So ... I write scary stories for the simple reason that I like to be scared myself. If I get the goosebumps while I'm writing it, I hope it will also give readers the goosebumps while reading! I'm glad you enjoyed the book, and I hope you'll enjoy the next one: UNLOCKED which will be published in October 2016. Happy reading! Margo(less)

October is here! I love the change of seasons, and I especially love going into autumn with the vibrant colors, knowing that nature is prepping for a period of rest and restoration.

It's also the first Wednesday of the month, which means it's time for another installment of Insecure Writer's Support Group. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out their website: www.insecurewriterssupportgroup.com

Okay, I am late to the game on this series! It was so entertaining to read a book set in the 1980s (written in the 1980s, too). So much has changed in technology and social situations. Nonetheless, this was a fun book to read, and I'm excited to read ...more

A terrific mystery that kept me guessing throughout.

Side note: There were a few sex scenes (if that matters to you), but they weren't too explicit.

“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”
