Getting Started
This is the first of a series of occasional blog updates.
This time out, I'll just feature one book: Manhattan Transfer. Think Escape from New York. In Space. Manhattan Transfer was published in hardcover and paperback by Tor Books and the Science Fiction Book Club. It was translated into Italian, Japanese, German, French, and Russian. A braille edition is available to the blind in the USA, and an audio version is available to the blind in the USA. The book has been reprinted in trade paperback by Wildside Press, and it's available for the Kindle.
Manhattan Transfer shares a bit of imagery (a dome) with Stephen King's Under the Dome, but the novels are far different.
In addition to my novels (published originally by Ace Books and Tor Books) I also have one short story available for sale on Amazon. You can find "One Giant Step" here.

"One Giant Step" short story giveaway on Kindle
The story was originally published in the anthology Dinosaur Fantastic, edited by Mike Resnick and Martin H. Greenberg.
"One Giant Step" mixes time travel, dinosaurs, and treachery, for a new take on how the dinosaurs went extinct.
Marketing note: 99 cents is the lowest possible price in the Kindle system, but in recognition that for many readers that's still a lot for a short story, the story will periodically be free (up to five days per quarter). It will also be always available free to Kindle Prime members.
