Award winning author Mindy Halleck is a Pacific Northwest writer, blogger and writing instructor. Her short story, The Sound of Rain, which placed in the Writer’s Digest Literary Contest blossomed into her first novel RETURN TO SENDER. Mindy blogs at Literary Liaisons and is a member of Willamette Writers and the Pacific Northwest Writers Associations, and serves on the steering committee for the Write on the Sound conference. Hello Wolfe! I never saw this question, please forgive the lag in time.
I started writing when I was a teenager, tragic, melodramatic poetry. then moved on to short short stories in my 20s, and then journaling into my 40s when I started writing short stories and viola! Novels.

However, on the rare occasion that I'm blocked I take a pen and pad of paper (old school writing) and go sit in a coffee shop. There is something about the buzz of human interaction that sparks my pen.(less)
