Upcoming Anthology

I've always considered myself a writer who enjoys crafting long pieces, but my published works prove otherwise. Short stories and novellas are what I currently have out. Last year, I delved into writing "drabbles" (100-word pieces, two of mine appeared in a fun Halloween-themed collection), and this year I dabbled with flash fiction. My Adirondack summer vacation

The beauty of NYS.For my family's vacation this year we decided to stay in state and traveled to an area we weren't familiar with: the Adirondacks. After the Pink: A Mother's Day Remembrance #MothersDay2017 #MothersDay #HappyMothersDay

I wrote this essay for a contest and would like to dedicate it to all of the Moms out there. Each one of us has our own unique journeys to share. Here is the beginning of mine. Happy Mother's Day!

After being married for half a decade, my husband and I decided to make our duo a trio. I figured something as monumental as getting pregnant wouldn’t happen easily. Within months my stomach turned queasy. I became more emotional. Something had changed. I purchased a pregnancy test. Ten minutes later...

Happy Release Day to Umbra's Shadow by @AndreaStanet with excerpt and guest post @RoanePublishing #Giveaway #Paranormal #Shifters

US_BlitzButton.jpg

Happy Book Birthday to my friend and fellow critique partner/writing group member, author Andrea Stanet. Her contemporary fantasy book, Umbra's Shadow, is released to the world today and now everyone can see what a talented writer she is. Merc is a bad-ass mercenary-she's become one of my favorite female characters in many of the urban and contemporary fantasies I've read-as has the hot fae guy, Dúl. There's an excerpt to enjoy and a giveaway too.

Goodbye, my friend, goodbye

Cancer is the one thing I wish we could obliterate from the world. Simply remove the six-letter word from usage, and keep those who it decimates, impacts, or touches, safe. Why do I have such strong sentiments? This disease has taken four family members and just this week someone special. The world has lost another star to this blight on humanity. One of my closest, dearest friends, has succumbed to her illness.
