A book giveaway? I think that's a great idea Dylann! I'll see if we can't get that set up within the next couple of days :)

My ideas come from all kinds of different places. I was cursed or perhaps I should say somewhat blessed with night terrors as a child. Most of them have become great inspirations for my work. Crimson Forest was a bit different. A good friend of mine asked me if I would write her a book about vampires. While I like vampires, I believe they are somewhat over done, so I counter offered with something better. I would write her a book and use her name as a main character. That day, Crimson Forest was born!

For any new author, I would most certainly recommend having faith in yourself. There were quite a few people who didn't believe I could actually follow my dream and I used that to fuel the fire inside me. I had to prove them wrong, and I did :) That my friend, is the best feeling in the world. Never give up on your dreams, no matter how hard it may get.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Have a great weekend!

Free Ebooks, Oh My!

It began when I was just a little girl. I would save up every bit of pocket change I could possibly find. Once I had saved up enough, I would beg my mom to take me to the book store so I could buy a new book.

Now that I'm older, and work in the publishing industry, I have access to as many books as I could ever want. It's like a dream come true! Every genre had become available to me -horror books Read more of this blog post »

“They say past performance is indicative of future behavior. If there was any truth to that statement, then I knew I had to be careful of the choices I made. My decisions were much more crucial now, as they affected the entire human population. One wrong move, and I could possibly wipe out the world. That was one thing I definitely didn't want on my shoulders.”
Christine Gabriel, Crimson Forest

“The mist covered the ground like the white veil over a new bride's face. The air was thick with smoke - smelling of death and decay. The birds were no longer singing their sweet songs, nor were there any immediate signs of life in the area. The charred ground crunched under my feet and I realized it was the only sound I could hear in the eerie silence. I looked up at the once milky moon and cringed at its new bright crimson color. What could've possibly caused the moon to turn blood red? I thought to myself as I continued to walk cautiously through the unrecognizable forest.”
Christine Gabriel

“As many of you know, I am not very fond of the human race. However, I will not let them die by the hands of our species nor any other. For thousands of years, we've walked this earth in peace with them, and a war is not in the best interest of either party. It'll only create suffering and tragedy on both sides. We can't allow this to happen. Our only option is to find him and kill him.”
Christine Gabriel, Crimson Forest
