Award-winning author Wayne Clark was born in 1946 in Ottawa, Ont., but has called Montreal home since 1968. Woven through that time frame in no particular order have been interludes in Halifax, Toronto, Vancouver, Germany, Holland and Mexico.

It found it interesting, both her story and that of Montreal in the 1940s. However I was somewhat disappointed to find that the book was not exclusively about her time in Montreal, which she considered her favorite city. In fact, most of it wasn't.
