Title: I Define My Own Truth: Love Yourself First-Blog Post #12

Subtitle: Do I Matter? An Adoptee’s Perspective through Her Relationships

I’ll never forget that momentous day at age fifteen when I discovered that I was adopted. It felt as if someone had cut my heart into a million pieces. I no longer celebrated my life; I simply braved it. Yet somehow, I knew that I would embark on a journey of healing. A journey to accept myself. Or maybe even find the Divi...

Carina Burns Chocolicious

I must say that the book's cover design is STELLAR!!! I've heard that it takes us only seconds to decide whether to read or not to read a book. Well, not only do we wish to read this delectable looking story; but when we hear "triple-layered chocolate cupcakes", we can't help but immediately desire to eat one or two:-)...

When I started to read Chocolicious, I had a hard time getting into it. Something was missing. I felt the beginning didn't have the punch I would have liked to have seen. Then the pace picked up and twists and turns arrived. I was glad about that.

I was disappointed when a character is told a story from someone about suspicious motives and believes it to be the whole truth then not giving their loved one an ounce of benefit of the doubt--I'm not sure about that. What about "trusting your loved one"?

Overall a nice read.
