I love getting to know my characters and the worlds they inhabit. When I'm writing, I'm completely thrown into the story and when I'm finished writing it, I'm usually a bit melancholy (which usually spurs me on to working on the next book because I miss it so much!)
Second favorite thing is hearing from my readers. I LOVE hearing from people who have read and enjoyed my work. Having someone tell me how much they liked my books or how it affected them in a personal way really motivates me to keep writing. I love when I read a book and it stays with me for awhile and when I can achieve that for someone else it really makes my day :D(less)

“It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.”
