I love taking aspects of my life and turning them into fiction, changing things to how I wish it would happen. For example, in a story I'm working on, there's a kid who doesn't like playing sport, and the teacher finds another way for him to be involved with the team.

I love using my imagination to create a world where things work out, I do like a happy ending.

I also love that writing is a great way for me to unwind and get the voices out of my head!(less)

Charlie is a monkey looking for some fun, but his idea is to tease the other animals and generally be mean.

I didn't find Charlie particularly cheeky... I thought he was more mean than cheeky. It could depend on your definition of cheeky. I did enjoy

The Incurable Imagination by Paul Russell
"Audrey is not quite like other kindy kids. She's different in a way we can't quite put our finger on despite visual hints and descriptions otherwise. She doesn't think in sepia tones for a start like the other kids do, the ones who paint sensible..." Read more of this review »

“Life is but a Weaving” (the Tapestry Poem)

“My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaveth steadily.

Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.

Not ’til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned

He knows, He loves, He cares;
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him.”
