Madeline Dyer lives on a farm in the southwest of England, where she hangs out with her Shetland ponies and writes dark and twisty young adult books. She will soon be starting her MA in Creative Writing from Kingston University, having obtained a BA honors degree in English from the University of Exeter. Madeline has a strong love for anything dystopian or ghostly, and she can frequently be found exploring wild places. At least one notebook is known to follow her wherever she goes.

Her books include the Untamed series, the Dangerous Ones series, and Captive: A Poetry Collection on OCD, Psychosis, and Brain Inflammation.

Thank you for your question, J.D. I've currently got plans for four books in the Untamed Series, all told from Seven's point of view. Book two, FRAGMENTED, releases on September 7, 2016, and I'm currently working on books three and four. I'll be sad to see the series end, as I absolutely love the world I've created, and the characters, but I think extending Seven's story would weaken the later books. So, it's always been a four-book series for me, and that's how I planned it, right from when I was penning the first draft of book one. (less)

Wow, this memoir--it's just... wow.

I've had my eye on Uncomfortably Numb for quite a while. Back when I was researching medical memoirs (sometime around October 2019), this one was recommended to me. And I was just so excited to read it.
