Marcia Meara lives in central Florida, just north of Orlando, with her husband of over thirty years and four big cats.

When not writing or blogging, she spends her time gardening, and enjoying the surprising amount of wildlife that manages to make a home in her suburban yard. She enjoys nature. Really, really enjoys it. All of it! Well, almost all of it, anyway. From birds, to furry critters, to her very favorites, snakes. The exception would be spiders, which she truly loathes, convinced that anything with eight hairy legs is surely up to no good. She does not, however, kill spiders anymore, since she knows they have their place in the world. Besides, her husband now handles her Arachnid Catch and Release Program, and she's good with that.

Been under the weather, so I just saw this. We are editing Harbinger right now, and only have a few chapters left to cover. I'm aiming for Memorial Day weekend for the eBook. The print book will take another two weeks or so, as I have to format it, submit it, and wait for the proof copy to arrive in the mail. But if we don't run into any obstacles, that eBook is nearly here! And a good thing, too, as I have to get back to Riverbend and sort out things for Jackson and Forrest Painter! :)

Thanks for asking, and I hope you're going to enjoy Harbinger. It's off the wall, for sure, but it also has some of the best Mac and Rabbit moments I've written, I think. It's really "their" book, and allows them to bond the way Sarah always thought they would.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a great week!(less)

"Oh, Gods." Ignata blinked. "You think something could be wrong down there?"
All of them looked at William, who chose this precise moment to slide the wet shirt back on his back, which required him to flex, raising his arms.
"That would be a shame," Cerise murmured.”

Sandra My pleasure, happy 2014 to you too ;)

And thank YOU for encouraging me to do more on Goodreads. I've procrastinated too long. Nice to get to know you better! Happy 2014!

Sandra Thanks for the friendvite Marcia. Always a pleasure to chat books with you, my Ilona & parasols friend :D

How exciting that you have one of the signed prints of Chris McGrath's Dresden covers! I personally haven't read those but my husband is a huge fan.

I live in Seattle and it so happened that Kim Harrison and Patricia Briggs (it was a joint signing!) tour included Seattle last spring! It was my first book tour and signing; they were both wonderful and hilarious!

Sorry I didn't clarify but that chapter in Trent's POV is a rewritten "A Perfect Blood" chapter and not from the next book. Here's what Kim said:

"This is the version that will have one of the chapters rewritten from Trent’s point of view, giving us another look at not only Rachel, but Al as well."

Some of my other favorite UF series are: Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, Stacia Kane, Karen Chance and I liked the earlier Charlaine Harris Sookie books but sadly they plummeted downhill for me after book 8.

Marcia Hi, Negine! (Sorry! I've been adding an extra "r" to your name for some reason. I'm having some eye problems, and my computer screen is often blurry. I'm gonna blame it on that!!)

I'm happy to be your friend. I'll bet we have other books in common, too, besides the Hollows. It will be fun finding out.

Oh, lucky you! Where do you live that you got to go to the signing? I've never been to one. I did order a signed print of one of my favorite Harry Dresden covers from cover artist, Chris McGrath, who I LOVE, but I've never met an author before. Even briefly. That really sounds like fun!

I try not to read any of the advance chapters of books coming out, just because it makes me that much more anxious to get my hands on the next book. I DO read any and all short stories or other "complete" publications connected to the series, though. Hope you find the chapter fun.

I enjoyed seeing Trent's memos "in his own hand" in the Hollows Insider. I just thought that book was so clever...with the "taped" pages, and handwritten stuff, and paper clips, etc. It was as much fun to look at as it was to read. And I liked the summaries of each type of supernatural being, too. It helped get them all straight in my mind. My memory can get fuzzy in between books.

What other series do you really enjoy?

Negine Hi Marcia, Thanks for friending! To answer your question (from Susana's thread) I do have The Hollows Insider and I agree, it's a beautifully made collection with some great info. In fact I went to Kim Harrison's signing back in March and had her sign it! Looking forward to Into the Woods - specifically the Trent and Jenks short story, woohoo!- as well!

Also apparently there's an extra chapter in the mass market edition of A Perfect Blood (releasing today!). It's a chapter rewritten from Trent's POV :) Needless to say I'll be stopping by the bookstore to read it!

Marcia Hi, Andrew! I'm doing well. How about you? I was intrigued by all the groups you belong to and your interests in dragons, especially. I thought it would be fun to follow your reviews, etc. Thanks for saying hi!

VampireNovelFan Thanks for friending, Marcia! As fellow Urban Fantasy and Hollows fan, I recommend you check out my blog! I've got a special Hollows corner on there with lots of fans. I actually just did a giveaway for my ARC of A Perfect Blood (I think you'll love it when it comes out ~_^). Please make sure to vote on my poll for your favorite Hollows book if you join (it's in the Polls section):

Happy reading and I look forward to discussion!

Marcia Hi, Lady Danielle! Thanks for the invite. Looking forward to getting to "know" you. I'll have to check out your blogs, etc.
