Saturday Seven, 22.
Hey hey hey! Here we are in the dog days of summer where lunch consists of a bowl of cherries and leftover corn on the cob and my evening runs are a total sweat-fest. It’s a picture I don’t care to paint you. To see what I’ve been up to this summer, check out the latest post on my photography blog. No sweat included thankyouverymuch.
It’s been a couple weeks since I checked in with a round-up on Saturday, so tell ya what. I’ll share a little more recipe inspiration than normal this weekend. Are you excited? You should be. There’s sprinkles! And peanut butter. And Oreos.
Let’s start with a recipe that feels 1 million years old. Soft and streusel-topped peanut butter and jelly bars that can only be described as my childhood dream come true. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches forever.

M&M’S® Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie.
Only 50 minutes between you and THIS.
M&M’S® are back in my dessert this week! Recent M&M’S® treats: truffles of the peanut butter variety, ice cream sandwiches, PIÑATA CAKE.
To fill you in: awhile back M&M’S® got in touch with me for a collaboration. Judging by the amount of M&M’S® constantly in stock in this house, I jumped at the opportunity. (If you love them like yours truly, you’ll love their new Pinterest page!) I’ve been in the kitchen creating all sorts of M&M’S® goodies. And today, I’m sharing the best for last.
Why, it’s a smorgasbord of warm, chewy, soft, gooey cookie.
There are three steps in this recipe.
1. Make cookie dough.
2. Bake it in a skillet.
3. Eat warm.

Strawberry Rolls with Sweet Lemon Glaze.
A summery twist on cinnamon rolls, these glazed strawberry rolls can be made ahead to save time in the morning.
First, thank you for all your excitement over my new photography blog! I’ve been looking forward to sharing this new addition to Sally’s Baking Addiction for quite some time and am eager to see where it takes me. Do you have any questions on how to follow my photography blog? Let me know!
Second, I’m finally home. And it feels so, so good. From NYC –> Baltimore –> central PA, I’m finally home in Philly for a week before heading out to Seattle. I’m working on putting together some posts for my photography blog of all this travel! Stay tuned.
Third, let’s eat!
Make-ahead strawberry rolls are on the menu this week and there’s no breakfast more tempting. The rolls are soft and fluffy with a homemade strawberry filling, topped off with a sweet and tangy lemon glaze that seeps into every crevice.
Everyone’s had a cinnamon roll before but how many of you can say you’ve had a strawberry lemon roll?! Consider these summer’s version of a cinnamon roll!
You may have already spotted this recipe on People a couple months ago. I first made them when the weather began warming up and have made them almost a half dozen times since. (We do not take weekend breakfast lightly in this house. Go BIG or go back to bed.) Oh, the best part! You can easily freeze the rolls and wake up to warm, gooey, soft, and sweet strawberry rolls in the morning. For freezing directions, see the recipe below.

Introducing: SBA Photography Blog!
Hi! I am sooooooooo
oooooo
o
excited for today.
In the past 4 years shooting food, I’ve taken an interest in shooting life. Simply put, I enjoy shooting the everyday. Whether that is travel, nature, people, places, faces, spaces, mornings, weekends, you name it. I bring my camera everywhere, so I decided to create a new space to store it all. My photography blog is now home to all my adventures. The pictures are random, enthusiastic, me.
My new photography blog, created by the talented Lindsay, is an extension of Sally’s Baking Addiction. In fact, it is a subdomain of Sally’s Baking Addiction.
(photography.sallysbakingaddiction.com)
I thought about creating an entirely new name and feel for my photography blog, but felt it was important to house everything under my business name Sally’s Baking Addiction— registered trademark pending. Yeah!

Peach Pecan Crisp.
Sweet and bubbly peach crisp with toasted pecans is the biggest test to your self control.
Happy Saturday, friends! What are you doing this weekend? The past few days have been a whirlwind of crazies. Not crazy people crazies (you know the sort) but crazy schedule crazies.
Went up to NYC on Thursday for a blogging conference, left on Friday to head down to Baltimore for a retirement party, and now I’m back in PA for a family reunion later today. Wooo-eeee.
Can I take a deep breath now? Life, slow down. I miss my TV binge watching.
Besides that, I have a MAJOR surprise for you on Monday. You know that thing I’ve been working on with my web designer? It’s almost here.
↑ ↑ Just in case you wanted a total life update.
Earlier in the week, I made a peach crisp. Crisps are one of my favorites and if you have a copy of my first cookbook and have flipped to page 81, you know they’ve been a summer tradition since I was little. I can’t have a July without a fruit crisp. More specifically, I can’t have a July without a fruit crisp topped with vanilla ice cream.

Chocolate Cherry Almond Snack Bars.
Grain-free healthy goodness!
First, thank you so much for listening to my behind the scenes interview! It feels wonderful to share my story with not only fellow bloggers, but anyone looking to start their own business or simply take a leap of faith in life. That being said, you’re all simply fabulous.
Second, Snack Bar Sally in da house!
Alright. I’m going to go ahead and file that away with “expressions to never use again.”
Anyway. Today is the return of snack bars. If you’re just joining us, hi! Welcome. My snack bar recipe collection consists of vanilla almond and cashew coconut. And today? Choc-ooooo-late. I decided it was high time to introduce a new flavor to our beloved snack bar obsession.

So what are these magical snack bars?! Glad you asked. Snack bars are my version of KIND bars. A little homemade copycat made from real, whole ingredients. I don’t know about you, but I used to live off of store-bought granola bars and those apple cinnamon nutri-grain bars. It wasn’t until I began to actually read and care about the ingredient list that I stopped buying them completely. Why the need for 40 different sketchy sounding “foods” to make up a simple snack bar?! Why did I like the apple cinnamon flavor over the more popular strawberry?
Things that remain a mystery.

Interview: Behind the Scenes of SBA!
Gooooood morning! (This just autocorrected to “gooey morning!”)
Today, my friends over at Food Blogger Pro are sharing an interview where I discuss all things blogging. In this 40 minute podcast, you’ll hear me blab… seriously it’s 40 minutes… about how I turned my blog into my full time job, what it’s like running my own business (how did I get here?!), the food, the monster that is social media, the traffic, writing cookbooks, and any advice I would give to new food bloggers.
I haven’t done too many interviews, so when the gang at Food Blogger Pro asked me to jump on a call, I instantly agreed. I don’t get too many chances to talk about my addiction to baking. Kidding! Haha?

S’mores Tartlets.
Little chocolate s’mores pies. YES.
Hi. So, I’ve been going completely nuts trying to decide what to make for Kevin’s upcoming birthday. As a bonafide foodie, I mean dessertie, I can’t deliver a traditional birthday cake. No no. Instead, I need to serve something he will remember forever… or at least until next year’s ridiculously awesome birthday dessert.
Ahhh! What to do?
…
Got it. Little s’mores-y things. Even though I’m sure he’ll feel ridiculous eating something called a “tartlet”, I’ll just say they are reduced-size s’more pies. Yeah. That sounds much more manly. Brilliant.
Lemme tell you a thing or two about this recipe. First of all, I shared it on Delish.com last week. So if you saw it there first and already had the chance to make them, YOU KNOW what I’m talking about when I say these s’mores tartlets… ahem, reduced-size s’more pies… are phenomenal. No, way better than that. Downright heavenly.

Saturday Seven, 21.
I’m doing things a little different this week. Instead of 7 archived recipes, I’m gushing about 7 things I’m currently obsessed with. Because you know me. When I like something, I omg loooove something.
1. Baltimore! I’m here again this weekend. My favorite city. It’s Kristen’s birthday weekend. We caught the O’s game last night and are celebrating her big 3-0 around town tonight. My old stomping grounds! Miss it here.

Frozen Mojito Slushies.
Just the ticket to cool off this summer!
To pair with your spiced-up cilantro lime chicken, have a mojito or two.
FROZEN STYLE!
It’s been nearly two months since my vacation in Riviera Maya and there’s one thing that sticks out the most from my handful of memories: all the poolside frozen mojitos!
The stunning resort, which is a magnitude of both adventure and relaxation, is hard to forget too. We stayed at the all-inclusive Valentin Imperial Maya; I’ve been there twice now. I’d love to tell you that I explored the area while there this past April, but this vacation was strictly food, beach volleyball, and lounging by the pool.
Highly recommended. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
