Let's begin by telling you where you can purchase both signed, printed copies and electronic copies of my books for all e-readers. You can buy them through this link to my Amazon page:

http://www.vigaboland.com

That's where you can also watch videos of me talking about my book(s), along with the trailer to "No Tears for my Father", and subscribe to my blog, see photos, read my poems and much more.

Oh, by the way, did you know that "No Tears for my Father" won a GOLD MEDAL in the 2014 Readers Favorite Book Awards in the Grief/Hardship category? I'm thrilled. Have you read it yet? Please add it to YOUR "must read" list. My follow-up memoir, "LEARNING TO LOVE MYSELF" is a gentler read, a love story really. I hope you'll want to read it too.

So I take that break and sooner or later, the wheels start turning again, oiled with fresh ideas, especially once I begin re-reading what I might have put aside 2 weeks earlier. (less)

Vigaland Non-celebrity #MeToo Story #16-Forged in Fire!

Let us all be forged in our fires, not consumed by them

I remember first, taking a bath as a child. My daddy would run his hands along my legs, then his fingers into my vagina. He assured me he was “cleaning my insides”, because even our insides get dirty. I didn’t understand what this meant, but I knew it felt wrong. I was

Viga Boland Folks,

I've created a book trailer for my follow-up memoir to "No Tears for my Father". This new book, "Learning to Love Myself" is Part 2 of my story and it covers my recovery after abuse along with the discovery of myself as someone worthy of love, my own included. It's a feel-good story that will leave you believing there is hope for happiness after abuse. Please watch my new trailer either here on my Goodreads page or here on YouTube:

Viga Boland Hi Liza

Caught this message just now. Left a note for you at Goodreads and am replying here again. There is NO review by you in the review section on the book page of "learning to love myself". I've looked and looked. There were 10 reviews a month back and it still shows only 10 in the count. Your rating is there, but no review. The "comments" don't count as reviews. Perhaps you thought they do? Help me out here LOL.

Thanks hon!

Liza Hello Viga, I did put a review where your book page on "Learning to love myself" is at, here is my review:

For lack of a better meaning,"against all odds".

This is a story about a girl who's abusive past made her a better and uniquely strong willed person; who denied failure to overwhelm her in spite of the major psychological and physical negativity fed to her through out her childhood and youth.
A must read for all who doubt or believe in the power of love.

Christine Hatfield Viga I was wondering if you can autograph your book called no tears for my father and send it in the mail for me please

Viga Boland Had a most incredible book launch for my second memoir, "Learning to Love Myself" last night at Turner Park Library in Hamilton. Over 25 fans, friends and neighbours came out to hear me read segments of this book which is actually the continuation of the story I told in my Gold-Medal winning "No Tears for My Father". The audience laughed at the humor and wept when I read a poem dedicated to my dear mother, who passed away 8 years ago today. I will share video of the reading of this poem at this event in the near future. In the meantime, I hope all who read, reviewed and liked my first book will be keen to do the same with this new memoir, which is a love story of recovery and self-discovery after childhood sexual abuse.

Viga Boland Just want to let everyone know that the second part of the memoir I started in my Gold Medal winning book, "No Tears for my Father" is now available in both printed and electronic formats for all e-readers directly from me via my website. When you buy a printed copy, I personally sign and ship it to you. Oh, the new book, written at the request of fans and friends is titled "LEARNING TO LOVE MYSELF". It's a much gentler read, a love story really. It covers my recovery after abuse, showing how incest still impacts the victim and her family for many years, but how with love, one can grown and become the person we were meant to be. I hope all those who read and reviewed my first book will want to read the continuing story. And I'd really love it if you purchased it directly via my website at http://www.vigaboland.com/store

It won't be "live" anywhere else on the net until after the official launch on October 15, 2014 ... but you can buy it and start reading it today by visiting my website. Thanks!

Viga Boland Just had the most amazing 3 days! On Friday, I did a 5-minute interview about my book with our local TV station, CHCH TV. It went really well and folks starting contacting book shops looking for the book. As a result, one shop in Simcoe, Ontario, purchased 20 books outright from me! On Saturday, I did my first formal book signing event at Chapters and sold 12 books. Apparently that's really good for a first time author at their first signing. I've posted fabulous photos from that event on my personal and author's pages at Facebook for all to see, and will be uploading the video of the CHCH Interview here very soon. What a great weekend and what wonderful support this victim of incest who dared to tell it all in a book is getting. So rewarding! My sincerest thanks to all my supporters who have purchased NO TEARS FOR MY FATHER, posted a rating and review here at Goodreads, and all still planning to buy one. You can purchase a signed printed copy directly from me via my website and the eBook version for your kindle or iPad are also now available. Visit my website at http://www.vigaboland.com for full details and to make your purchase. Thanks! No Tears For My Father by Viga Boland Viga Boland
