In Review & Looking Ahead

– 2013 –
So! Last year I set down some goals, and while I didn’t get all of them met, I’m pretty proud of what I did do.

This year was pretty spectacular for getting stuff done. I…

Bought (at least) one new release each month,
Read 75 books (passing my 60 book goal) – according to GoodReads
Wrote over 1 million words (finishing ahead of schedule!)
Finished 6 drafts (which is why I have a

Christmas Sale

Because it's almost Christmas, my full lenght novel THE BETRAYAL OF FLYNN MONROE is on sale next week for ebook, starting Monday and ending Friday.

If you haven't gotten a copy, this would be a great time to save a little $$ on it, and hey! It's kind of like getting me a Christmas present while you get one for yourself! (and if you're feeling really giving, get one for a friend!)

For those

My Christmas Gift to Myself

I’m giving myself a break.

I’ve talked about my issues with December before. The whole month is a total motivation suck for me. I just can’t get anything (writing-wise) done if I schedule it. So, I’m not holding myself to anything for the rest of the month.

That means I might not be back on here much, if at all. But January has never given me guff before, so I’ll definitely be back around

Stay on Target

December is the most difficult month for me. I lose all motivation. It’s like the holiday season and the cold weather suck the will to work on writing things right out of me. And that, my friends, is incredibly depressing.

This year, I’m trying my hardest to push through that. I’ve got a schedule! And until today, I was actually doing pretty well with it. Not that 3 writing days is an amazing

One Million Words

At the beginning of the year, I decided I was going to write 1,000,000-words. 2013 became the year of a million words. And I set about tapping away at daily, weekly and monthly goals.

As of 2:51pm yesterday afternoon. I met that goal!

The words that qualified were any of the things I typed into a story (short fiction, novella, novels...)This blog post would not have counted, emails, etc. I

An Update. Or, I Technically Finished NaNoWriMo Yesterday.

Words Written: 19,788

I don’t recall what I was distracted by last Friday to keep me from getting to green, but Wednesday was a jumble because I was sorting out publishing stuff for TBFM and getting the word out (however marginally). Regardless of that, I technically won NaNo yesterday. My current count for the month of November is 50,206.
What’s even more exciting than that is that I’m under

The Betrayal of Flynn Monroe is Out!

So! The Betrayal of Flynn Monroe went Live last night. But I’ve been waiting to tell you all about it until the cover attached… because who wants to look at a book without a cover? Unfortunately, it looks like it might not show up until Friday :(

But! It’s available now! The first full-length novel in the Flynn Monroe series! And, because it’s out, Enemies of a Sort is only $0.99 again.

The Betrayal of Flynn Monroe - Chapter One

Hell hath no fury like a woman receiving a less than satisfactory anniversary present.

Flynn Monroe turned the small blue box over in his hands for the twelfth time. He popped it open to look at the simple gold C on a delicate chain. Around him, the decrepit space station was dying. Every twist and groan echoed the turmoil welling within him.

Snapping the box closed, he cursed. “I am a

We're officially into November... and that mean's I'm almost at the point of the year when my brain
