Hey Fredrik--

Thanks! As it stands right now, the books' release order and chronological order line up. Thorn takes place in the middle of Spring in 1215, Murder about a week later, and then Alchemy a month after that at the end of spring. Import will take place about a month after Alchemy, in the height of the summer.

However, the launch of the third series-- The Holver Alley Crew-- next year will throw a wrench in the chronology. It takes place between Murder and Alchemy.

Around the time the third series launches, I'll put up a list on my webpage making clear the release order, the series order and the chronological order, so people can decide the reading order that they feel works best for them.

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the books!

PEOPLE OF THE CITY is coming

So we're only a few weeks from PEOPLE OF THE CITY coming into the world, which ends the first phase of the Maradaine Saga and brings together the heroes from all four Maradaine series.  I am SO EXCITED this is coming and you all get to read it.

How excited?  Excited enough that I've dove in deep with playing around on Photoshop to make character images for so many major characters in Maradaine.

"Maresca has achieved something truly magnificent here. Tying together disparate threads of a multi-POV story is a challenge even in a single novel. To pull together the threads of four series, spanning twelve novels, is an absolutely masterful act.

“Yes, Asti is very cautious and terrified about anything and everyone,” Raych said. “It’s one of his most endearing qualities, that he balances his absurd need to do stupid things with a meticulous care borne out of the overwhelming fear that something might go wrong.”
