The Big Question

By far the most frequent questions I get are about when something is coming out.  So, here is a list of all the dates until 2017.
Nifty, right?
Do keep in mind that I will pursue this schedule with the best of my abilities, and have no doubt I can and will meet my deadlines, because I always meet my deadlines.  but, as we all know, life happens, so if I change something in the future, which i have no plans on doing, then I hope you can continue to show me the patience and understanding you have all shown so far in my writing career.  Which is to say you have all been awesome.
The list of things to come:
Oct 25th 2015  Marrying Her (Keeping her Series #5)
Nov 25th 2015 The Alpha Prime Commander (stand alone sci fi romance)
Jan 15th 2016   Furee Born ( The Dragon Mage Series #4 Furee and Riva)
Feb 25th 2016 The Danu  (Stand alone fantasy Romance)
April 20th 2016 Hunting Her (Keeping Her Series #6 Logan and Xena)
May 20th 2016 TBA new series (Primal Series #1 sci fi romance)
July 25th 2016 Stealing Jax (Distant Worlds #4 Tolan Lark and Jax)
Aug 25th 2016 Wolf Town (paranormal romance stand alone)
Oct 25th 2016 TBA (The Dragon Mage Series #5)
Nov 25th 2016 TBA (Prime Series #2 sci fi romance)
Jan 25th 2017 TBA (Keeping Her Series #7)

And that is all you are going to get...
Okay, you get one more thing while I am dispensing information.  The total number of books expected in each series (to my knowledge right now.)
Keeping Her will have 10 books.
Distant Worlds will have 5 books.
The Dragon Mage Series will have 8.

You will notice that there are quite a few stand alone's coming out in the coming year.  Plus a new series starting.  I will tell you more about these as the time gets closer.  And I will be adding some information about each series to the series walls on my website, so look for that soon.  It will not only tell you who will be getting books, but also some background on your favorite characters that may not have made the series yet.'For those of you who are interested I also have a pintrest site where I have different boards for visual help in creating my books.  For instance, I have one for the Lionsgate home in Napa, and I have one for Marrying Her where Clytie's ring as well as what the ladies are wearing is shown.  Not to mention if I come across a picture of someone I think reminds me of a character I tend to pin it to the Stirs the Imagination board.  Here is the link if you are interested in seeing what that is about.  https://www.pinterest.com/kelly5460/

Marrying Her has been to my Beta reader (My Aunt Norma) who assures me with a satisfied gleam in her eye, that she loved it, so hopefully once it goes through the final edit, you will too.  I know I had a blast writing it.
The Alpha Prime Commander is what I am currently working on.  Hot!  Feel free to check out the excerpt on my coming soon page, or follow me on Facebook and get a sneak peak beyond the first chapter.
As always if you have any questions Tweet, Facebook or contact me on my website.  I will respond asap.  You will find the links at the top of the screen.  FYI -my pintrest link is always there as well.

It's about time I wrote a blog...

I haven't written for awhile, and I have thought about whether to give my readers the reasons for that or just let it lay.  But here I am writing the first blog after my mother passed away and I am incapable of not saying something about it.  So there you have it.  My mothers breast cancer (that she fought and beat) that turned into bone cancer (that she fought to a stand still for years) finally became liver cancer that hit her so fast and hard that by the time they told us we should think about hospice and her life coming to an end, it was already over, and there was nothing to think about but how much we were going to miss her.
If you read the excerpt I just posted in Keeping Her Christmas (which still does not have an actual title, by the way) you will see a little of my life leaking in.  It begins with a phone call about her father and a cancer she was never told he had.  A little of my troubles in an abstract way.  Don't despair, this is fantasy, and while it begins with some bad news and a trip to the hospital, the main focus is on Demon and Clytie.  Demon is going to come to the realization that in the eyes of normal human society he has very little claim on Clytie...and you can all imagine how he will take that.
If he can convince Clytie to marry him after the worst proposal ever, he still has to survive the wedding planning, a whole host of visiting pack, life changing news... and Aunt Essie.
The pre-sale will be up ASAP, so watch for the link to that on my Facebook page.  This will be released at the end of October, and hopefully I will have both a title and a cover at some point before then.  This is my first holiday book, and I have been dying to do one so I hope you enjoy it.

As a special bonus, you will see a second short novel released just a month later.  This is a stand alone science fiction romance that takes me to the dark side, at least as dark as I get, which means it is erotic enough that most family members will blush at the sex and the language, but that most of my readers will just think is "f**#*#' hot".  Or at least I hope so.  "The Collector" is a MFM Menage and its definitely rated adult, so if you aren't into that, stay away from the first chapter excerpt I am posting in about ten minutes, these boys move fast.
Coming up...
2016 release schedule  (If all goes as planned)
January-The next Dragon Mage Book (Furee and Riva)
March- Hunting Her-Keeping Her number 5 (Logan McCord and Xena)
July- Distant Worlds Book 4 (Tolan Lark and Jax)
October- The Next Dragon Mage book (to be announced)
Plus this year look for some stand alones here and there as well.  What can I say?  I have some time on my hands.

A Change in weather

Picture So here we are a new book about to be released.  In case you were wondering I took every ones advice for my sci-fi romance series Distant Worlds and hired a professional book cover designer.  So now I am an edited, published and professionally designed writer.  I feel so official.
So many things are happening right now it is almost too much to talk about, so I will merely say that my mom is struggling with the side effects of her cancer medications, so I am struggling with her.  So my response times may be slower, and my tweets and facebooks and blogs not as timely.
For an update:
Finding Lara is the 3rd book in the Distant Worlds Series.  Which is my favorite series to write.  Of course,  I feel the same about my dragons and the boys of Lionsgate when I am writing them so understand that I am fickle.  But I do love my work.
In Finding Lara we see a return of characters from both book 1 and 2 as worlds collide against a common foe.  Captain Conall Barnos is a hoot to write and Lara, well she is a different type of character for me as she is not exactly kick ass.  But she has her own charms and she grows on me and the pirate captain as the book progresses.  Hopefully you will remember her from "The Journey's End" fondly.
In book 3 we get to see Nori and Menelaus return, the twisty Tolan Lark (good guy or bad, you be the judge), and finally Danika, Lucan and the crew of the Jupiter.  I will tell you now that book 4 is Tolan Larks, and book 5 will lead us back to the Jupiter and that crew.  Here is the new cover I am exceedingly proud of as I did not design it myself.  The lovely lady at Cheekycovers.com did that for me, and like how a sandwich always tastes better when someone else makes it, I like when someone else designs my covers.  It's spiffy!  I liked Carries work so much that I had her also do Distant Worlds book 1 and 2 for me, so you will see the new covers for those shortly.
Next:  The winter wedding for The Keeping Her series.  That will be out in Nov/Dec and I will get you an excerpt and pre-sale link soon.  In case you are one of the few people who don't know.  Demon and Clytie will be getting married. .. As soon as he asks her.  Everyone is going to be there so I hope you can come.
That should end out the year for me.
I'll update for 2016 as soon as I figure it out.
I do know that Riva and Furee will get a book for the Dragon Mage series.  Logan will get his "Hunting Her," and Tolan Lark will get his.  I also think I will be doing at least one more book in 2016, possibly 2  but I have yet to decide which ones.
Beside my series stories I have tons of stand alone ideas that I have kept on the back burner for awhile.  We will have to see where the mood takes me, and how much time I actually have.

The things to come

It has been awhile since I blogged.  Sorry about that, life lately seems to be a serious of challenges. Every day something new crops up that needs to be battled and then before I can say '"whew' glad that's over" I'm already dealing with the next crisis on the list.  But hey, at least I got my regular writing in on time, right?
It's a good thing too, because I think writing is what keeps me sane.  My flights of fancy take me places where no one I love is sick and the heroine always gets to be a hero and nab the smoking hot man that needs her desperately.  But I digress.
Updates: Craving Her is out and so far reviews have been awesome.  A few people want the aggressive and super jealous and possessive alpha male in every story but I like to think everyone is different so the stories should be too.  So hopefully a few people also go for the quiet type with deep waters and liked Shawn and Cleo together.  I know I do.
Anyway the next on the list is in the Distant Worlds, and after that I have the Christmas Keeping Her wedding.  If you are waiting for the next dragon story it will be delayed slightly- Just because I have always wanted to write a Christmas romance, and it has to happen at a certain time.  Namely the holiday season.  So Merry Christmas, Demon and Clytie are getting hitched by popular demand, and if you like seeing the Lionsgate pack together again, look for it when the winter cometh.  Ooh, just for those fans out there:  Yes, Essie is going to make an appearance.  And for all of you who have expressed an interest, Stryker will definitely show- 'Cause he's hot, and really, why not?
Next week Loving Her and Craving Her will be out in print.
and In a few weeks time look on the website for a sample chapter of the new distant worlds book.  Space pirates and shape shifting aliens, what's not to love?

Craving Her out for pre-sale

As the title suggests, I have indeed, just this minute, released the next Keeping Her for pre-sale.  As soon as Amazon has it up I will post a link on twitter and Facebook so you can find it.  In case you don't already know, "Craving her" is Cleo and Shawn's book.  Also going to be present are all the other crazy characters from the Lionsgate pack from past books.
In this book you will have a glimpse of why Lucas formed this pack, his mysterious past and... you will get to meet Cleo and Ian's mother.   And...if you thought Lucas was protective of his daughter before, wait until she is dating.
Plus, there will be another appearance by that extremely hot council enforcer we met in "Claiming Her."  The one with the sword.  Sigh.
And if you are one of the ones waiting to see who is next in line to fall in love, you might catch a glimpse of future trouble for Logan... or is it Eli? Guess you will have to wait and see.

Like I said, I will post a link when it is ready on Amazon.  Right now you can read the first chapter here.  Just go to the coming soon page and click on the cover.

In other news, I will attempt to get Loving Her out in print by the April release of Craving Her.  But with the craziness that is my life I am making no promises.  We will have to see how it goes.

The next book set to release after that is the Distant Worlds series: Finding Lara.  No date on that yet but probably July  2015.  Definitely we will have the Keeping Her Christmas wedding in November, or late October if I am really good.  You voted and now it's going to happen, Demon and Clytie are getting married.  Want to see how that comes about and why?
I'll post a link on twitter and Facebook when it goes up for pre-sale.  In the meantime, if you don't hear from me, I'm probably writing.

A new year, all kinds of possibilities

First things first.  Fire The Blood is out and ready to buy, pre-sale now, release January 13th.
Second- Craving Her is coming next!  I know you have all been waiting for Cleo and Shawn.  Hope to have my sample chapters up this week.  We shall see.  This one is going to be intense, I mean INTENSE.  So get ready.
Just for fun, if you are interested in my character inspirations you can check out my pintrest sight under my "stirs the imagination" board.  Most of the time I form a character and then look for a picture to keep me honest.  But sometimes a picture can start an entire book.
Other boards include cover art and my inspiration for Lucas's home in Napa, among other things.

Finally, a few things going on right now.
One is the Loving her book edit.  Check out my Facebook for details on how you can win a free autographed copy of a Keeping Her book.  The second is the Christmas Wedding for Keeping Her I am planning for the end of this year.  If you want to get in your vote you can do it here or on Facebook.  Demon and Clytie, Cassandra and her men, or Lucas and Miley?  Who do you want to see married this year?  Let me know.  It will be a small book featuring the Lionsgate pack, and someones push for the altar. Should be fun in any case.  The Island wolves from At One's Pleasure will be showing as well, in case you were wondering.  Where the wedding happens depends on who is getting married.  we will have to wait and see.

Any questions, ask them here, on twitter, or on Facebook.  I'll get back to you.

Stormy days

While the storm rages outside I have been working like mad on Fire The Blood.  I am happy to say it should be out for pre-sale sometime tonight or tomorrow, as I have finally made the choice to go ahead with that.  I like the idea of having a set in stone due date and I am sure you would all like to know when it will be out, and for some, to make sure you get it while it's hot.  And since my readers said Yes! to Pre-sale, I shall defer to your wants in this.
For those who have asked.  Braedon who is a Huntsman and Fire Mage from Web of Bones is the hero of this one, and The Lady Asha who was saved from her fathers dungeons is the lucky lady he is drawn to.  If you have not read the sample excerpt do so.  But keep in mind that it is a rough draft, so don't mind the many, many, many typos I like to scatter throughout just to keep you on your toes.
Also for those who have asked, the dragon knights we met in the last book will be making an appearance(Furee Aarion Lux), some more than others, and General Solan, Melly, Eben Kinkaid (who I always feel the need to talk about using his full name because I like him sooo much), Ladon and Morgan are also in this one.  As well as further dealings with that mysterious Lord Theron from Seatown (if you remember him from Web Of Bones.  I know I do.)  and some rather unfortunate dealings with the dragon council.
I know I sound terminally perky in spots but I am in the midst of a writers high so you will have to bear with me.

In other news, in case you were not aware most of my books, most especially my early ones, have had updates on the editing since they came out.  If you want a new copy of the book just call or chat with amazon and they can actually tell which ones you need new updates for.  They do not to this automatically but they are easy to deal with if you ask for it.  They will replace all the books that have had updates in one fail swoop.  My dream of a future book where no editing is needed after release is still a fire burning in my heart...

New and revised release dates up and coming:
Fire The Blood (Dragon Mage Series) 1/31/2015 set in stone
Craving Her (Keeping Her Series) 4/2015 tentative
Another Distant Worlds Series will be coming after that, July/August 2015 and I may veer off a bit and write something else as well, either contemporary or a stand alone paranormal, depending on where my imagination chooses to fly.  We will all have to wait and see, in the mean time:
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and enjoy (or tolerate) your families into the New Year.  :)

Strange Reviews

I just had to put a shout out to everyone who takes the time to review my books.  Thanks for that.  I appreciate the time you take because it gives me insight on what you think of my books.  Now, granted, I get some weird ones every now and then.  I am not even referring to the bad reviews which of course happen, I mean my books are not for everyone.  Seems strange to get a long winded review on how I use bad language in Keeping Her, plus (gasp),  there is sex going on, when I put a warning of bad language and sexual content in the synopsis.  But hey, those Lionsgate lads do have potty mouths so what can you do?
No, I am actually referring to strange reviews mentioning characters or actions that do not actually exist in the book.  My newest review on Amazon was for Loving Her where I got a 4 star (thanks for that, by the way) and then the reviewer goes on to say:
"Sammy does occasionally get on my nerves which is why this doesn't get a 5 star. Brock and Slater are adorable and they have their own problems to deal with. Brock does something incredibly stupid but you'll have to read the book to find out what."
Hmmm.  I'm pretty familiar with Loving Her, having written it, and I cannot for the life of me remember an irritating character named Sammy, or anyone named Brock, or Slater...and you can read the book as many times as you want and you will still never find out what incredibly stupid thing Brock does, because well, there is no Brock.  But I will admit to a certain curiosity now to know exactly what book was being reviewed here.
At least it was a good review. On Goodreads I have a few times received a 2 star rating on books before they are written.  "Craving Her" is a fine example.  2 stars really?  for a book that will be released in 2015?  Hmmmm.
Speaking of release dates:  The next dragon book, Fire The Blood will be available at the end of December, beginning of January. We will see how much time I have for writing during the holidays.  Hopefully, I will have more than I have had this last week.  Because I have to tell you, without my forays into my own personal fantasy lands I get a little tense.  Just FYI, that Huntsman is smoking hot.
By the way, if anyone has read a book with an irritating character named Sammy and can tell me what incredibly stupid thing Brock does and what book it is, I would be thrilled beyond measure.  Otherwise I will just have to keep assuming hallucinogenic drugs were involved in the writing of that review.  Just say no people.

Salvage Rights draft mistake

If you do not follow my Facebook you may not know that I released the wrong draft of Salvage Rights. If you pre-ordered or bought the first day you may have noticed glaring editing issues. That was because the draft you got was not the final draft with edit. So very sorry about this. If you call Amazon, or even chat with the help people they will send you a new copy. I am attempting to get new ones emailed to everyone but for the author there are more hoops to jump through. My readers assure me that it was easy for them to get the updated version, and anyone who buys from now on will get the correct edited manuscript.
You can tell you have the correct manuscript in the word icom is used for the communications rather than com.
I apologize most profusely for the issue.

To presale or not to presale...

Have to say that whole presale thing certainly added some extra pressure.  And I hated finishing and not being able to release it until the date chosen.  On the other hand I did like the way sales built up and exploded on opening day.  That was fun.
Hated, hated that I could not fix the manuscript when I made the mistake of downloading the one without the final edit.  That was embarrassing and not fair to the readers.  Entirely my fault but I would have loved to be able to fix it the day before the release as opposed to the day after.  oh, well. At least everyone seems to like Salvage Rights as much as me.
Next up:  Fire The Blood, which I might not presale after all.  Since I am still hoping to release at the end of December.  Might just release it when it is done and not worry about the presale thing this time.    I'll see how that goes and then decide on a date for Craving Her, and whether to presale or not.
Dates for release:
Out now: Salvage Rights.  Next is Fire the Blood Dec. 29.  Then Craving Her-lets shoot for May on that one, shall we?
