Just got back from 3 months in Costa Rica, currently living in the greater Orlando/Space Coast area of FL.

I wrote another novel down in Costa Rica which I hope gets published soon.

Usually, a few hundred at morning, a few more in the afternoon, then finishing off 1,000 before bed. I felt like my body was made out of concrete when I was done. Over 40 years old and hard as a rock.... Read more of this blog post »

This poetry book is travel writing at its' best. I laughed out loud a few times, esp. when he made reference to George Jones riding on his lawn mower. These poems have the spirit of Kerouac and Americana. An Americana that with the inevitable takeove ...more

“All art needs to be funny, sad and a little disturbing simultaneously or else it's not art.”
Ezekiel Tyrus

“It's easy to let the assholes, the jerks, the bullies, the green-eyed monsters occupy all your mental headlines but look around, you've got friends and there are even more people who want you to do well, wishing you nothing but good cheer. Let them have all the publicity in your mental media.”

“Was it really some other person I was so anxious to discover...or was it only my own solitude that I could not abide?”
David Markson, Wittgenstein's Mistress

“The eternal silence of these infinite spaces frightens me.”
David Markson, Wittgenstein's Mistress

“You can learn more by going to the opera than you ever can by reading Emerson. Like that there are two sexes.”
David Markson

“You will say that I am old and mad, was what Michaelangelo wrote, but I answer that there is no better way of being sane and free from anxiety than by being mad.”
David Markson, Wittgenstein's Mistress

“Once, Turner had himself lashed to the mast of a ship for several hours, during a furious storm, so that he could later paint the storm. Obviously, it was not the storm itself that Turner intended to paint. What he intended to paint was a representation of the storm. One's language is frequently imprecise in that manner, I have discovered.”
