The Sun Will Never Set

Sometimes falling in love is all about spending time with each other; as simple as that.

Take Your Time, Little Island Girl

A friend suggested I write a song about a girl on an island. So I did. I wrote it about her.

Getting ready to record Dirt series one

I am getting very close now to starting the job of recording series one of Dirt.

I have built my voice booth and will start sound testing in the next couple of days. If I am happy with the results, I will make myself comfortable, take a big glug of water, and go for it.

The Happy moment of a good review

I put a couple of my songs up for review on Reverbnation the other day, then promptly forgot all about it.

Having had a bad couple of days, out of the blue the results came back. Now I am glowing!

On the Dragons of Dirt

Who are the dragons of Dirt? Why are they so very different from any other dragon in any other fantasy?

In a nice long read, I look at the dragons, talk about how they live, give a little history and tell you why they are so important to the story and to the people of Dirt.

Who are the women of Dirt?

The second series of Dirt focusses heavily on dragons, but at the centre are two incredible female characters; Silvi Farthing and Ferret.

Silvi is only seventeen, but she lives in an unequal world where women, particularly young women, are seen as second-class citizens. In this series, not only do I tell a heroic tale, but put a spotlight on inequality.

Planning a Novel is Vital and Fun

At the risk of repeating myself, here is a brief article why I think planning is important and why you are creating problems if you somehow think it is restrictive.

The main issue people have with planning is they think it is boring. Well, that is wrong too! Read on...
