I've been writing stories since I was twelve years old, but it was studying archaeology, especially prehistory, that really sparked my creativity. Working on excavations allows me to touch (pre)history in a very direct way, but to fit the pieces of the puzzle together, to reconstruct the missing parts of people's long-forgotten lives is something I love just as much. This inspired me to write my prehistoric children's novels, and I'm not done writing yet. The past is a far too mysterious and magical place to ever stop exploring!
