The marketing experts say authors need a compelling biography. They say we should answer the following four questions, because this is the information you, the reader, really want to know.

1. Why do I write? I write because I have an obsession with writing which borders on a mental disorder. I’ve often wondered if I can get medicated for this condition, but it’s much cheaper and easier to spend time at a keyboard.

2. How long have I been at it? I’d love to tell you I had some magical writing awakening, but the truth is I’ve been writing since I could combine a noun and a verb to form a sentence. Not sure when that was or what I used. Probably the

However, the author, in his rush to complete the story in two sentences was forced to equip the maiden with a cross, stake, hammer, and garlic, all of which she used (in that order) to end the vampire’s eternal life, while saying, “Thif aufor ith really puthing the two sententh limit,” because despite being the fairest maiden in this story, she also had a dreadful speech impediment.(less)

Good question, Juho :) But a book to read or write?

If I had to choose one to read, I'd probably go with The Lord of the Rings. I've read it fours times already, so I know it can sustain rereading.

Now, if I had to choose one to write, I'd go with my trilogy The Hand of the Khryseoi, which is only one book at this stage and needs the other two written. And it has taken me many years, so perhaps I need to go on a space expedition. Can you recommend one?(less)

Writer missing in action - found!

Latest News

A writer who has been missing in action has been found. He was isolated in his home, apparently having been forced to remain indoors by the New Zealand government.

He was also discovered to have written a new novella which will soon be released to the public. The alleged title of this novella is Gone Wonder Land (which seems appropriate given his situation).

Further details follow.

"I'm not gonna say much, because it's hard not to spoil things otherwise, but The Siege of Skyhold contains probably the most insane, epic battle I've read in fantasy.

“Traumatic events can be compared to facing a demon pitcher on the baseball diamond. Life tells us we have to take a swing at the ball, but engaging this demon comes with consequences. If you make first base, you’ll feel the need to sleep. Not so bad. Second, you’ll want to forget it all happened. Don’t we all? But third base brings the onset of madness and if you step off the plate there’s only death. In the great game of life, sometimes it’s better to strike out than hit a home run. After all, you can relax in the Dugout with friends until you’re ready to knock the demon out of the park.”
