I learned to read when I was four years old, and I began writing soon thereafter. My first story was about a girl and her horse—it was awful, but my parents loved it, which encouraged me to continue. My favourite genres are of the fantastical and magical, where the mundane rules of real life don't apply.

I stand, I fall, I stand again,
Knowing I will fall again;
And yet, though failure is ahead,
I’ll stop trying when I’m dead.

It’s how we learn: we try and fail,
And try again, ‘til we prevail.
We want to quit—we strive instead;
I’ll stop trying when I’m dead.

Life is hard, and yet we know
Difficulties help us grow.
Mistakes are nothing we should dread.
I’ll stop trying when I’m dead.

So much fun

There's a lot to like in this fun book. I would definitely recommend it to all who like pirates and m/m romance.

Boring

I liked the first book in this series despite the often awkward writing style, so I was excited to read Mace's story. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. So many plot points made little to no sense, and the sex scenes bored me.

It was okay. The writing was often clunky and awkward, but the characters are intriguing.
Esther Jones is 66% done with No Remedy: This is really dumb. Nowhere near as good as the first book.

Good Bones by Kim Fielding
"I usually like werewolf stories, but this one really struggled to hold my interest.

And he drives a Prius... Okay, I probably should explain that the Prius is a marketing triumph (like DeBeers diamonds). It's not that cutting edge for a hybrid car..." Read more of this review »

"This fic was set up to win me over: awkward hipster werewolf, thoughtful attention given to the MC’s career as an architect, lots of details about the Northwest and Portland landscape and a cute, rough around the edges sorta fuck-up of a love inte..." Read more of this review »

Truth was not his friend.
He lied until the end;
Now, he’ll lie forever.”

“Don't say it was delightful; make us say delightful when we've read the description. You see, all those words (horrifying, wonderful, hideous, exquisite) are only like saying to your readers Please will you do the job for me.”
