K. C. Finn was born and raised in Cardiff, South Wales, where her love for storytelling grew at a precociously young age. After developing the medical condition M.E. / C.F.S., Kim turned to writing to escape the pressures of disabled living, only to become hooked on the incredible world of publishing.

As an author for Clean Teen Publishing and Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Press, Kim spends most of her time locked in the writing cave with an obscenely large mug of tea. When not writing, she can be found studying for her MA in Linguistics, watching classic British comedy, or concocting evil schemes in the secret laboratory in her attic.

Hi Stefania,
Thank you so much for writing to me!
Stirling is one of my favourites too ;) I think the most difficult (and most important) feature in dystopian writing is giving your central character a strong network of allies and enemies. The dystopian genre is usually about a band of characters acting together to overthrow the force which oppresses them, so it was important to me to give Raja strong, likable friends whom the reader could relate to. She's a tough heroine, but she can't take on the world alone! Stirling is a good grounding force for her because they are opposite in a lot of ways, and he makes her stop and think before just rushing into the mission. It's tricky to keep everything in balance! Thank you for your excellent question.
If you haven't done so already, please consider leaving an Amazon review for Legion Lost. Good reviews are the greatest gift you can give to an author!
Lots of love,
K.C.

It's time to see these things hit the mainstream in young adult fiction. For the past year, I have been trying to gain publication for my new sci-fi dystopian action series 'Legion Lost', and I have been met with rejection everywhere, for the same reason: the heroine is 'too abnormal'.

If you have an Amazon account, it takes less than a minute to log into Ki... Read more of this blog post »

The Mind's Eye by K.C. Finn

“I'm looking at the ruins of my own existence and knowing, with a sickening certainty, that my old home and my old life have been truly destroyed.”
K.C. Finn, Legion Lost

“I love you, you know. The thought had escaped before I had a chance to rein it in. Henri caught his breath in his throat; the sombre weight in his chest lifting away like a pressure valve had been removed. He couldn't reply, certainly not with the two gate guards standing right next to him, but I felt his face relax into a smile.”
K.C. Finn, The Mind's Eye

“The kiss has started something bigger between us, and the lies I'm telling Stirling will only get worse from here on in.”
