Susan Thatcher was born in New Hampshire and raised in Vermont, graduating from the University of Vermont (including a stint in Salisbury, South Australia as an exchange student starting in January 1982. She hates winter that much). She contributed occasional articles to UVM’s newspaper, the Vermont Cynic. Susan has also contributed to Morning Edition on NPR (they read her letter on the air.), the Boca Raton News and www.dognewsteam.com, a news parody website. Susan also earned a Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center.

She presently lives in South Florida because she hates winter more than hurricanes, alligators, and giant friggin' lubber grasshoppers (seriously, in a huge bunch, they're gross) combined.

Am I allowed a 3 way tie? Each of these couples is a union of equals.
1) Nick and Nora Charles ("The Thin Man") the banter is wonderful (and a little leeway, because I'm thinking of William Powell and Myrna Loy in the movie series.I did read the book)
2) Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara. She was a damsel in distress, but she pulled herself out of trouble (not in the nicest way) and he saw through her faults and still loved her.
3) Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. She wasn't afraid to be herself, to be smart and outspoken. He was able to change his mind and see past the financial differences and "breeding" to see that she was a good woman and excellent wife material. (less)

I could go into some windy explanation as to why I haven’t posted but the plain truth was…I didn’t feel like it. 2022 was not an inspiring or motivating year for me.  It was just 2020 Part 3, and the plot remained the same through all 3 episodes: work, go home, sleep, work, go home. This is the rut that had me panicking as a teenager about graduating high school and college and then becoming an of

“Every woman needs at least one of each of these friends (and all in one works): Someone who will drink and/or eat cookie dough in times of stress, someone who will take off her earrings and do battle, someone who will listen to all of your secrets, no matter how dark and NOT TELL, someone with the courage to tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, and someone who will play the role of fool to lift your spirits.”

“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”

“I had been fed, in my youth, a lot of old wives' tales about the way men would instantly forsake a beautiful woman to flock around a brilliant one. It is but fair to say that, after getting out in the world, I had never seen this happen."
