As a Christian writer, this immediately tells me I've been going about my business without communing with God. Conversation between us fills me with joy, which is word-provoking.

I also know I am greatly in need of going outside, looking at God's nature, and talking to him about it. In the general revelation of a beautiful landscape or an azure sky filled with puffy white clouds, God fills me up. No longer hollow, I seek to write of my encounter.

Often a walk is what I need, or a drive, or a complete change of routine. I head out, talking to God as I go. My faith is a significant part of my writing, so most of my "writer's block" remedies are centered around Jesus. (less)

I'll have to say that the best thing about being a writer is the joy of penning the stories that run around in my head and fill my heart. I was created to do this. The story has been the shaping tool of my life from earliest childhood in a storytelling family in Oklahoma and Kansas, to learning to read at age 3, to staying up to read novels into the wee hours as a grand schooler. Stories shaped me. I enjoy writing more than anything else I can think of on this green earth. (less)

Who Is Jesus?

Take some time to read about Jesus, for we’ve been dialoguing about Him, singing about Him, praying to Jesus, seeking to know Him, honoring Him, and loving Him for long periods of our lives.

What does John, the “disciple whom Jesus loved,” have to say about Jesus? These words describe and define Him for us from the disciple who spent the most time with Jesus.

The Authority of the Son

“Do you not know that God entrusted you with that money (all above what buys necessities for your families) to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to help the stranger, the widow, the fatherless; and, indeed, as far as it will go, to relieve the wants of all mankind?
