Hi Darlene
Thanks for your questions ...

1)Since writing these two awesome books have you written anything else?
Saving Justice is my debut book (unless you count that bottom-drawer manuscript from 20 years ago most of us have hidden away!).

2) Do you have anything else in the works?
At the moment I’m writing a Christmas novella set at Dog Haven Sanctuary which is a little sweeter than Saving Justice and Soul Scars…though every character has a backstory ;-). I plan to have this one out by Thanksgiving.
Aside from that I’m working on a series set in New Zealand which I’m thoroughly enjoying writing. The characters, emotionally, are less-fraught than the DHS characters, and probably a bit sexier. I’m hoping readers will enjoy NZ's unique setting and culture.

3) Where did you get your background material for these books?
I have personal experience with PTSD therefore Marlo’s character was easy for me, although I did have to tone her back after the first draft to make her more likeable. Through the extra research for Marlo, I found myself becoming sidetracked reading information aboutCombat PTSD, which obviously has both similar and a unique set of difficulties. Vince had turned up in the Saving Justice, completely silent, but I knew very soon that I had to investigate him more, and that he needed his own story.

At the request of some readers I’m putting together the list of Combat PTSD resources I used for research in the hope that they will be useful for those either living with PTSD, or supporting those who do. I’ll get those up on my blog and link to them when they’re done.
