“Write. Start writing today. Start writing right now. Don’t write it right, just write it –and then make it right later. Give yourself the mental freedom to enjoy the process, because the process of writing is a long one. Be wary of “writing rules” and advice. Do it your way.”

“I think of writing as a partnership with the reader. My goal is to feed their imagination, but only partially. If you give them everything, you limit their ability. It’s borderline insulting. The key with description is to give the reader just enough so they experience what's going on, but leave a little out so they’re encouraged to fill in the blanks. This is where the magic happens. Let them breathe life into your story in a way only they can.”

C.J. Heck
Hello L.R.,
It's a pleasure having you for a friend here at Goodreads. Thank you so much and best wishes to you.
My warmest regards and respect,
CJ

Thanks for accepting my friend request.
I'm looking forward to reading your work!
Best wishes and much success to you!

Thank you for the friendship request here on Goodreads. It is great to meet another Tolkien fan and follower!! I look forward to discovering your work,
Lucinda x

What made you draw that conclusion? I just answered a question honestly. I'm not one of these authors that gets others to "recommend" other books to others in exchange for doing it for them. I simply just answered a question that you asked. The intent was not to offend you.

You can download it free for Kindle here:
