D.R. Ransdell performs in a mariachi band where zealous customers, scheming musicians, and jealous spouses provide countless plots for the Andy Veracruz Mysteries. She also writes travel-themed fiction about the Campanello sisters. Her musical memoir is a tell-all about how she learned to play mariachi music. Yes, the names were changed to protect the guilty!

D.R. resides in Tucson with four felines who provide ideas for diabolical antagonists. She’s currently drafting a mystery that takes place in Venice, a favorite tourist destination. To pay for plane tickets, she teaches first-year writing at the University of Arizona. https://www.dr-ransdell.com

Substitute Soloist Book Launch

The book launch for the 4th Andy Veracruz mystery was a big success! Linus Lerner was on hand to answer questions about conducting, and then I entertained the crowd with the help of my other mariachi friends.

Find full details here as well as links to both the interview and some of the mariachi songs.
