“It sounds like we’ve got a family emergency. I’llcome back as soon as possible.”

He met my gaze. “Don’t worry about me. Family comesfirst. Call if I can be of any help.”

“Thanks.”

Facing multiple challenges, dealing withgrief, and living in faith are key elements in this story . . .

Sofia Russo is a single woman who isgrieving the death of her sister. She has stepped in to be the guardian of hertwo young nephews, Rowen and Tucker. Things are not going as smoothly as shehoped because of her broken foot and the fact that the boys are having troubleadjusting to their new living situation along with grieving the devastating lossof their beloved mother.

Nathaniel Turner owns a landscapingbusiness, and he meets Sofia and the boys when they drive up to the Allens'property as he is finishing his weekly lawn service on the property. The Allensare out of town visiting their daughter, and Sofia will be house-sitting whilethe couple is gone.

Tucker and Rowen enjoy living on the bigproperty where they explore and play during the long summer days. They developa positive rapport with Nathaniel, and he becomes an excellent role model forthem.

One of my favorite characters in thisbook is Nathaniel's rescue mutt, Dodger. This dog has quite a personality, andbrings humor and levity to some dark moments throughout the story.

Nathaniel is a stand-up guy who is notafraid to show his emotions. I liked the fact that he felt his feelings. He andSofia quickly bond as they begin to share about their pasts with each other.

The faith thread in this plot is strongand is shared by many characters in the small town. Nathaniel's father's wisdomand guidance are especially touching.

The story is completely clean inlanguage and content. I received a copy of this book from the author throughJustRead Publicity Tours. All of my thoughts and opinions shared here aresolely my own.

A riveting conclusion to the author'samazing 'Extreme Measures' series . . .

This fast-paced story is filled withwell-developed characters, varied settings, and heart-pounding action. Justwhen I thought I knew exactly what was going on and how the story was going toend, the author changed course and threw my theory out the window.

The lead female character, AEMT RainaPrice, is a strong, self-reliant, determined young woman who is hidingsomething. She keeps the details of her past close to the vest, even with herclosest friends.

Vincent Covelli, US Marshal, has knownRaina for awhile; and he's always been intrigued by this attractive woman. Hesenses that she is keeping secrets from her past; secrets that keep her fromtrusting anyone fully. He decides to be patient and let God take over hisconcerns about how to break through Raina's outer shell to initiate arelationship with her.

The faith thread in this story is strongas Vince shares his life's faith journey with Raina by opening up to her abouthis own past traumas. Their discussions about God and trust added a wonderfuldimension to this story for me.

Surprises reign supreme in this story inthe suspense element and the romance element. An excellent Epilogue willsatisfy fans of this genre. The book is completely clean in language andcontent. A steady torrent of rain wet Lovina Graber’s eyelashesand fell like tears as she hobbled to the waiting SUV caked with mud and grime.While she loved the smell of rain in Montana, she wished it would havelightened up until she was safely in the car. With her uneven gait shestruggled on the slick ground. Slowly. Just a few more steps.

One foot slid, and Lovina released the tote bag she’dbeen holding as she reached for the side of the car to catch herself.

“Ach, no!” The contents of her bag spilled all overthe wet pavement. As gingerly as possible, she bent over to scoop up theassorted books, craft supplies, and papers, including a large manilla envelope,that had tumbled out.

Her Englisch driver, Wyatt, an older fellow wholooked every bit the stereotypical Montana mountain man, hurriedly approachedas she stuffed her bag with damp skeins of yarn and rain-slicked magazines.“Let me help you with that, Miss Graber,” he offered, his deep, gruff voice andscraggly gray beard concealing his kind nature.

She clutched the envelope to her chest, then peekedinside her bag to inventory the contents and forced a wide smile inappreciation of his offer of help. “Danke anyway, Wyatt. I think I’vegot everything now.”

Wyatt mopped his brow on the arm of his tatteredflannel shirt before opening the beat-up SUV’s back passenger door and offeringa hand. She accepted and awkwardly situated herself in the seat. Hi,I’m Emma Justice. We are having some kind of heat wave down here in Lutz,Texas. I’m the town’s local flower farmer. Some people confuse me with floristsor urban farmers. My job is to grow flowers. Daisies, zinnias, coneflowers, andsunflowers are my best sellers.

Ido as much work as possible in the early morning and evening. I have red hairwhich makes it even more challenging to work with the flowers during the middleof the day. You can often find me wearing a straw cowboy hat to protect my headand face.

Incase you’re not aware, flower farms can be many acres like regular farms. Theycan also be small areas of land. Quite a few flower farmers begin on less thanan acre of land. After years of planning and dreaming, I finally started aflower farm in my back yard. I have a combination of regular flower beds andraised beds because it helps me be more efficient. My backyard is fenced in,but there’s another half-acre behind my yard. One day I’ll expand and use it.

Isell stems and some arrangements at the local farmers market. I also takeflowers to local businesses like the bed-and-breakfast, Sophie’s Bakery, AnytimeCoffee, and Paige’s Turn Bookstore. One nice morning in March, I found my firstdead body at the bookstore. That’s a day I’ll never forget, but enough sadness.

Today,I’m going to Lutz Antique and Vintage Market. I like to search for unique vasesand containers for flowers because some people don’t have a knack for arrangingflowers. I mostly sell stems at the farmers market, but the arrangements arepopular too.

Mydays are full of flowers and friends. If you’re ever in Lutz, look me up.
