Melanie Page is 66% done with Bones on Ice: "Hello!" a perky broomstick with a bouncy bob and sun-leathered skin greeted me from behind a reception desk. The patchouli tsunamied strong as I crossed to her. "Welcome to Inner Peaks Climbing Center!"

Amazingly (yet, at this point, unsurprisingly), Reine drew me in and made me think about the Seasons of the Moon series even when I wasn’t reading. Adult me loved the books, and I know eighth grade me would have eaten them up, too. The author beautif ...more

Mr. Poe helps solve another mystery. This time the cute festival setting and Poe's obsession with not having his penis cut off gave me plenty to smile about. The writing is just fun and never wavers from a cat's perspective.

I didn't realize these Poe books were in the Descentverse, so I was extra delighted! My favourite aspect is the way Reine really sticks to Poe as cat-turned-human, licking and batting things as a small boy. It's really quite funny.

You're welcome, Debbie. Both books are anthologies in which one of my stories appear. I don't have my own novel or collection as of yet.
