Chocolate Pairings Blog Hop!
I am thrilled that the beautiful and amazing author, Kirstin Pulioff, selected me to be her successor in this chocolate blog hop. Alas, now I am a little afraid. I love chocolate...but pairing it with books?! Eek! What a challenge!Wait a minute... We are talking about chocolate...and books. Two of my FAVORITE things!
This won't be difficult at all! Here goes!
Find Kirstin on Twitter
Pairings: The Chronicles of Koa: Netherworld
Hey...no one said I couldn't do a little shameless self-promotion! Besides, Koa literally compares blood to chocolate when she's sensually feasting on her hot American pet, Ian. Perfect. Don't you think? So with that said, I compare Netherworld with a yummy milk chocolate fondue. Because that's what blood tastes like...right?Mistborn: The Final Empire
Mistborn is one of my favorite books. So it goes well with one of my favorite sweets. Set in a world that is covered in mist and soot, you become attached to the incredible characters and their struggle to usurp a horrible tyrant and save the slave class from eternal strife. I pair Mistborn with dark chocolate, because it can be bitter at times, but so sweet in the end!Stone of Tears
Another one of my absolute favorite books. I discovered this as a child and have been hooked on his excellent writings ever since. Stone of Tears is actually the second book in his Sword of Truth series, but it is the first that I found and read. So I'd say it was my introduction to his series...sounds like a Kit Kat bar. Ha! Kit Kat bars were my first taste of chocolate. Mmmmm, chocolate. The Witching Hour
Here is one of the creepiest books I've ever read. Well, I was a child when I read it, and it might not be that creepy now. I may go back and read it again. Why? Because it's incredible. The title says it all. Witches, magic, characters that you fear for. What else could you ask for? Oh! I know! A delicious chocolate froyo. That's frozen yogurt if you didn't know. It's cold and delicious. And the Witching Hour will leave your bones chilled and goosebumps all over your tender flesh.Pride and Prejudice
Mr. Darcy (in my mind) is one of the hottest British fictional characters...after Halston from The Chronicles of Koa of course. So, he gets paired with delicious hot chocolate. Mmmmm. Grab a cup, find a comfy chair, blanket, and devour this classic novel that will ignite the romance in your heart. Go on. Do it. Oh wait...we are not quite done yet!Emily Dickenson Complete Collection
There is something absolutely magical about Emily. I tell you, I look at her portrait and feel like I know her. How could I know her? Look inside the pages of this book and you will become familiar with my favorite poet. Her words are like spells that put a hex on your heart and incite incredible emotions. I love her. I love her work. And so I pair her with my favorite chocolate, yummy Dove chocolate. Tune in next Saturday for our next blog hop stop!

Meet Our Guest Author, Andreas F. von Recum
The author reports on his livelong involvement with motorcycles. At first and immediately after WWII in Germany, motorcycles and their smaller cousins mopeds were necessary means of transportation. Beginning in the late sixties and due to increasing living standards for many, motorcycles gave way to small cars and the motorcycle industry almost collapsed in the western world. Amazingly, with ever increasing living standards, motorcycles experienced a revival as a sport and hobby for increasing numbers of mechanically gifted enthusiasts.
The author, now living in Ohio picked up motorcycling in the seventies again. When he retired in 2006, he purchased an old BMW-sidecar combination as a retirement hobby, building on his experience with a rig he owned in the early sixties. Later he purchased a Honda touring bike to replace the aging BMW rig. Over a six-year period, he explored Ohio’s lesser known architectural and landscape beauties, just perfect for the touring motorcycle connoisseur.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Andreas F. von Recum immigrated from Germany in 1972. He pursued an academic career at the junction of veterinary medicine with human medicine and engineering, and retired from The Ohio State University in 2006. Throughout his career, he published peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and an edited handbook in his research field of biomaterials. He also published with Pelican Publ. in 2002 a popular literature book dealing with another of his hobbies: Hunting with Hounds in North America.

Sin-Reaper **Teaser**
Sin-ReaperK.N. LeeFear dominated Raina’s thoughts. Home no longer existed. Her brother was gone. All she had was her power and the white-haired man that had rescued her. This could not be real.“Not again,” Raina mumbled through the bone-searing pain. Her blood dripped all over the stranger with the silver eyes that made her dare to hope they could survive.Raina gripped his hand and stifled a cry as the second shot of light ripped through her thigh. The noise filled her ears as the pain burned through her muscles. Raina shrieked and without pause, he threw her over his shoulder and continued running through the snow covered forest. Wolves howled and warned their pack that creatures more dangerous than themselves were in their territory. Even with two gushing wounds, Raina feared what she could do to those men…to the world if she let the buried power within free. The pain threatened everything.“Calm yourself, Raina,” the stranger growled as he leapt across a rushing river and landed on the other side. “We will lose him and you will recharge. Trust me.”Raina felt herself losing her grip on her power. So much blood dripped onto his bare chest from her wounds. Raina’s eyes rolled into the back of her head.“Trust me,” he begged in between labored breaths. “I won’t let him have you.”Raina nodded. She knew it was useless to tell him that she knew they were not going to make it. He would never believe her. A chill ran throughout her entire body, making her eyes pop open in alarm. She expected to see the moon, but the cloak of a shadow blocked its light. He was getting closer.Naked, cold, and bleeding, Raina began to cry. This was not the first time, nor the one hundredth. She knew that they weren’t going to make it out of Seether. Not with their souls. They never did. The man with the black eyes, and the black crow, always won. Coming Soon. July 2014

Dane McCaslin **Author Feature**
Dane McCaslin, an American author of two 'cozy mystery' series and a soon-to-be-released suspense trilogy, resides in the state of Arizona with her very patient husband. She has been writing all of her life: poetry, short stories, journals, letters (yes, those old-fashioned epistles that require pen and paper), and now she brings her talents to the mystery genre.
In addition to being an author, Dane McCaslin is an educator. She currently teaches language arts classes for grades 9, 10, and 11; additionally, she teaches beginning writing classes at the local university. Being an educator is an important part of her life, and passing on her passion for reading and writing is one of her great joys.
Dane McCaslin is also the mother of three grown children and a grandmother of six. She is currently dog-less but is in the market for one that will put up with her penchant for walking in the nearby riparian.

Author, K.N. Lee's 2014-2015 Book Tour!
Greetings, friends! I am author, K.N. Lee and plan on touring the U.S. & United Kingdom to promote by series, The Chronicles of Koa. I am an indie author and have worked tirelessly to make this series an international bestseller. Being that I am solely responsible for my book's success, I must fund every expense.
I am hoping that generous friends, family, and fans will join me in this incredible journey.
Last year's tour was very successful and through the kindness of friends, I traveled to Brighton, London to promote the first book of the series, Netherworld. This year I would like to promote Netherworld and its sequel, Dark Prophet. So I ask you, please support indie authors, and donate to my tour. Not only will you receive a gift of your choosing, but a mention on my website www.kn-lee.com, and in the acknowledgements in the third book of the Chronicles of Koa series.
My plan is to stock independent bookstores with copies of The Chronicles of Koa, hold signings, and visit conventions across the U.S. (NYC, Seattle, Atlanta, San Francisco,) and United Kingdom. Did someone say road trip? That's right! I'm loading up the car and sharing my book with as many potential readers as I can!
Thank you in advance!
Cheers,
K.N. Lee

Empty Your Heart is Free Today!
Empty your heart And make room for me
I'd fight hordes and armies
Cross deserts and black seas
Become a slave to your will
With no will to be free
I'd like to haunt your dreams
While I sparkle and gleam
Wedge into your subconscious
Sprinkle love dust
And liquid lust
I'd wiggle in
Find a slot in your memory
For all I want
Is for you...
To remember me
Thirty poems of love, loss, and yearning. Empty your heart...
Free today!
