Vanessa Largie and 39 other people liked Widyanto Gunadi's review of I Hate Men:
I Hate Men by Pauline Harmange
"What a terrible book. The writer seems to be having a past traumatic experience that is yet to heal. Thus, her writing sounds pretty much like a diary of a mad bonkers spouting nonsensical gobbledygook. She has a highly questionable and delusional be" Read more of this review »

Ego is The Enemy by Ryan Holiday was recommended to me with high praise. I came to this book, excited, hopeful and with an open mind.

The book began strong and then went down the gurgler quickly as it turned into a preachy diatribe.

“I've drank her wine - intoxication.
Her taste lingers on my tongue
And yours
And his
And hers.

She gifts her fruit to all.

And like the poisonous apple,
Those who indulge
Never leave.”
Vanessa de Largie

“THE NOW

Let’s sing songs that we don’t know the words to.

Let’s have a screaming match in a public library.

Let’s drink champagne out of each other’s belly buttons.

Let’s have sex in a packed parking lot.

Let’s walk the city streets giving small change to buskers.

Let’s eat icecream in the snow.

Let’s write a list of all the things we want to do to each other’s genitals.

Let’s try to understand those who don’t understand us.

Let’s cover ourselves in paint and fuck on a massive canvas.

~
Life will continue after our deaths.

But let it continue today -- without us.”
Vanessa de Largie

“I saw what a mess a lot of people could make of their lives when they're smitten. Some of them go temporarily insane. They find a person who they think holds the key to their happiness-the only key to their happiness... My work has always been my greatest happiness”
Mae West

“You save yourself or you remain unsaved.”
Alice Sebold

“Sometimes the dreams that come true are the dreams you never even knew you had.”
Alice Sebold, The Lovely Bones

“Do you hate people?”

“I don't hate them...I just feel better when they're not around.”
Charles Bukowski, Barfly

“For those who believe in God, most of the big questions are answered. But for those of us who can't readily accept the God formula, the big answers don't remain stone-written. We adjust to new conditions and discoveries. We are pliable. Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.”
Charles Bukowski

Fede Cheers Vanessa. Sexy and talented. Keep it coming ;)

Vanessa Largie Hello Ken. Congrats on the release of your new book 'The Road to Amistad'. I look forward to reading it.

You needn't be saddened, that was the talent and potency of your writing. Mainly because I have a 'weak stomach' with anything medical...I found it tough in some parts but I'm sure others would not. It was a great story, an important story. Thank you for writing it!

Vanessa Largie Christine, I have my paperbacks, happy to do that for you now. Contact me at my website www.vanessadelargie.net
