Graham Austin-King was born in the south of England and weaned on broken swords and half-forgotten spells. A shortage of these forced him to consume fantasy novels at an ever-increasing rate, turning to computers and tabletop gaming between meals.

He experimented with writing at the beginning of an education that meandered through journalism, international relations, and law. To this day he is committed to never allowing those first efforts to reach public eyes.

After spending a decade in Canada, learning what 'cold' really means, and being horrified by poutine, he settled once again in the UK with a seemingly endless horde of children.

To date he is the author of five novels, drawing on a foundation of literary influences ranging from David E

It would be a lot more convenient if it worked when I was home but it usually requires me to go for a walk too. I am that crazy person walking around chatting away to themselves. (less)

That film stood perfectly well on its own, even though it could just as easily lead into sequels. Faithless is much the same. I have a couple of other projects I need to see through first and then I'll take stock. Thanks so much for preordering and I hope you enjoy it.(less)

Red Sister by Mark Lawrence. Nuns and magic and... just wow!

Imagine an ice-bound world where the polar caps have expanded as the power of its sun dwindles. A world where life is confined to a 50 mile wide corridor circling the globe, and maintained by the power of the focus moon. This is the world of Red Sister. The world of Abeth, where the ice-wind howls down and hurls shards of ice at those foolish, or unlucky enough, not to have found shelter.

The Riven Wyrde Saga by Graham Austin-King
"This was simply amazing. Well written, amazing story and world building. And
complete trilogy available (no waiting for another book).

What was best (for me) about this book? I enjoyed alternating point of view and

The Lore of Prometheus by Graham Austin-King
"4.5/5

The Lore of Prometheus is different from what I typically read. I gravitate toward fantasy to escape reality. I very much appreciate the creativity required to create a universe with its own rules. That said, i really enjoyed this book. I hadn’t" Read more of this review »

“Fie! Fly! Be gone, little manling!” she spat at him. “Take your tainted She and be gone!”

Graham Austin-King, Fae: The Realm of Twilight

“No woman wants a husband! They're a terrible nuisance. Smelly and underfoot the whole time and absolutely no idea of what is proper. They are rather necessary in a marriage though I'm afraid.”

“Fie, fly, flee little manling”
Graham Austin-King, Fae: The Wild Hunt

“We're living in momentous times, Garion. The events of a thousand years and more have all focused on these very days. The world, I'm told, is like that. Centuries pass when nothing happens, and then in a few short years events of such tremendous importance take place that the world is never the same again."
I think that if I had my choice, I'd prefer one of those quiet centuries," Garion said glumly.
Oh, no," Silk said, his lips drawing back in a ferretlike grin. "Now's the time to be alive - to see it all happen, to be a part of it. That makes the blood race, and each breath is an adventure.”
David Eddings, Pawn of Prophecy

“As I was saying, My Lord. This art is so much more about you than it is me. It's about expectation. It's about hope. Deep down you hold a secret hope that you will be freed. It doesn't matter that you're far too intelligent a man to really believe that to be true, the hope remains." He stood with a shrug and tapped the flat of the blade against his lips. "If I'm honest I don't know if you will ever be freed. The order could come to kill you tomorrow, or not. It is hope that this art deals in. Hope that you might know enough to make me stop, or at least give me pause. Hope is stronger than faith, more powerful that love. Hope is the lever that can move worlds.”
Graham Austin-King, Fae: The Sins of the Wyrde

“You should write a book," Matrick suggested.
Kit snorted. "Who wants to read the self-pitying lamentations of an old revenant?"
"There's your title right there," said Ganelon.”
Nicholas Eames, Kings of the Wyld
