Hi Aidan.

I am so sorry I never saw this comment/question. Thank you so much for your kind feedback, I am so glad Skyscraping moved you so much. There is no sequel to Skyscraping but I have two books coming out in about a year. One is called The Way the Light Bends and the other is called Every Shiny Thing. They are on Goodreads though the synopsis are old and will be changed soon....Thanks again and so sorry! Let me know if you have any more questions!!(less)

Skyscraping by Cordelia Jensen
No I don't see it that way though the main character Mira has to come to terms with the fact that her parents have an open marriage and her father has a male lover and has AIDS...So, at first, she has a lot of trouble dealing with her father's lover. See Full Answer

The Way the Light Bends by Cordelia Jensen
"I received an eARC copy from NetGalley, the publisher and the author, in exchange for my honest review.
As I mentioned before (in my review of Skyscraping), the author made me fall in love with verse novels. I hold this novel near my heart. Seriously." Read more of this review »

“I think the most important quality of a mentor is that they are open to following students where they want to go. Not always pushing their own agenda.”
Cordelia Jensen, Skyscraping

“All night, snow.
Open the window,
stretch my arms out.
Keep my eyes open
in the white, whipping wind.
There are few cars on the highway.
The river's frozen in places.
In a city that never stops,
I can hardly hear anything.

For tonight, the city gives me
what I need.”
Cordelia Jensen, Skyscraping

“Maude asks me why I'm not
more upset.
I tell her if you ride a roller coaster enough
it starts to feel like a carousel.
All the up, downs make a circle,
spinning.”
Cordelia Jensen, Every Shiny Thing
