Reading such a simple pleasure

In a busy society where screens are omnipresent and smartphones are a must-have, its easy to understand why people dont read as many books anymore. A recent US study that involved 1,000 adults, found that 28% of those interviewed didnt read a single book last year. Reading books is not just engaging, motivating and entertaining, but also healthy. It helps the brain process data faster, it feeds the intellect with useful, practical information and in some ways it makes us happier. Here are 6 science-based reasons to read books.

Reading calms peoples nerves

If youre stressed out, reading a book can prove to be an extremely helpful medicine. A 2009 study performed in Sussex, at Mindlab University, showed that book reading overcomes stress, thus beating other favorites relievers like drinking tea, walking or listening to music. Whats new in your life?

Dream Answer 298: Babies are almost always good news in dreams. They typically signal new growth in the dreamer of either new emotional (girl babies) or new behavior (boy babies). The following dream indicated new emotional growth:

An adult woman dreamed that she saw saw a spirit (baby-like) floating up in the corner of her bedroom near the ceiling. She staring at it trying to figure out what to do when her chihuahua, who was also looking at it, turned to her and said you see it, just speak to it. So she asked who are you and it materialized into a flower (like a daisy) against her wall.

Interpretation

Each person or creature in a dream is a part of the dreamers psyche at the first level. Females tend to go with emotions. Males tend to be associated with behavior. A baby represents a

What does a house mean in a dream?

Mira Prabhu:

Several of my BIG dreams were set in a gorgeous home reminiscent of both India and America…possibly to indicate my own straddling status at the time…check out Dr. Steven Fox’s post on what a house can represent to the dreamer….Om!

A House Can Be the Dreamer to Some Extent

Dream Answer 296

A house can represent the dreamer to some extent because it is the framework out of which one lives. This is especially the case if it was a house in which the dreamer once lived.

The ages the dreamer was when living in the house (from birth to five years old, from age 12 to 16 years old, etc.) is important. There is something about the dreamers present psychodynamics that is situationally similar to the dreamers earlier psychodynamics at a specific developmental stage reflected in the dream.

The different areas of the house correspond roughly to different areas of the dreamers life. Mental or intellectual processes are associated with the upper floors or roof. An open roof may be a comment on how open minded the dreamers mind is, how the dreamer does not protect his thoughts efficiently

2014 Review of a Metaphysical and Mundane Blog…

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 9,200 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
