Days from the Heart of the Home by Susan Branch
“Breakfast! My favorite meal- and you can be so creative. I think of bowls of sparkling berries and fresh cream, baskets of Popovers and freshly squeezed orange juice, thick country bacon, hot maple syrup, panckes and French toast - even the nutty flavor of Irish oatmeal with brown sugar and cream. Breaksfast is the place I splurge with calories, then I spend the rest of the day getting them off! I love to use my prettiest table settings - crocheted placemats with lace-edged napkins and old hammered silver. And whether you are inside in front of a fire, candles burning brightly on a wintery day - or outside on a patio enjoying the morning sun - whether you are having a group of friends and family, a quiet little brunch for two, or an even quieter little brunch just for yourself, breakfast can set the mood and pace of the whole day.

And Sunday is my day. Sometimes I think we get caught up in the hectic happenings of the weeks and months and we forget to take time out to relax. So one Sun

“The nightmares were enough to make me crazy, but being frightened by bunnies? I was losing it.”
Eliza Tilton, Broken Forest

“Live in the present, remember the past, and fear not the future, for it doesn't exist and never shall. There is only now.”
Christopher Paolini, Eldest

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
Frank Herbert, Dune

“It is better, I think, to grab at the stars than to sit flustered because you know you cannot reach them.”
R.A. Salvatore, Sojourn

“One day you will ask me which is more important? My life or yours? I will say mine and you will walk away not knowing that you are my life.”
Khalil Gibran

“Sir Topher finally looked up. “Because any hope beyond that, my boy, would be too much. I feared we would drown in it.”
"Then I choose to drown,” Finnikin said. “In hope. Rather than float into nothing.”
Melina Marchetta, Finnikin of the Rock

Emily Lear Hey Eliza,
Thank you for the friendship. I saw that you joined the group I set up for books that don't fit in to a type. I wrote Ladies of Market Street. I is not a Horror book, I promise. It has a bit of love and adventure. Feel free to check it out. Mean while if you have any suggestions for my next read I would love it.

Thanks again,
EmLadies of Market Street
