Like all storytellers, I love to spin new tales wherever I go, and have left a trail of giants, fairies, battles, and magic from the sun-soaked coasts of California to the regular-soaked flatlands of Belgium, and everywhere in between.

Blood of the Fey, her first published novel and the first in the Morgana Trilogy, was written at coffee shops between a day job in finance and nights of "research" watching Korean dramas. Rise of the Fey is the second entry in the series and was finished in winter-time Brussels, where the pounding rain soothed the rambunctious temper that inevitably arose after long editorial hours.

Hi Zoë,
I'm so very glad you love the Morgana Trilogy!
I unfortunately can't tell you exactly when the third book is coming out (I learned that the hard way with Book 2). My initial plan had been to have it ready by December of this year, but it's not a hard-set date. I'm still working on the first draft (though it's on hold until beginning of June because I have an important exam I need to take then), but I'll keep you posted via my facebook page as I make progress with each step. Once the exam on June 4th is over and done with, I'll be devoting all my free time to the book to have it good and ready as soon as possible so you may finally read how the story ends!
Thank you for asking :)

Hi Holly!

I'm so very glad to hear that you liked Rise of the Fey! I can't give an estimate for when book 3, Curse of the Fey, comes out, but I can tell you the wait will definitely not be as long as it was for book 2 (so less than 2 years)! I'll post updates along the way though :)(less)

The Legendary Sword in the Stone of San Galgano
Just found out (thanks to a colleague of mine) about this really cool podcast channel called Stuff You Should Know. I don't know if you're already familiar with it, but there was a recent episode on it that was all about "Was there a real King Arthur?"

In it, the two hosts, Josh and Chuck, try to piece together what could be real facts from the Art... Read more of this blog post »

A fun read--reminiscent, in style, of The Princess Bride, though with younger heroes. My favorite parts all had to do with Ardent and the rest of the Royal Kennel; Garth Nix managed to convey the true nature of dogs on paper (even if these can talk).
