NOT a review …

This-morning I found out why scheduling an overnight post is not a good idea. I would far rather that this post were my only one for today, and I could easily have posted the previous one tomorrow … When I came to my PC I found that H has posted – precisely when, I don’t know; but I did go

MILMARIPOSAS: música en Lengua de Signos

I don’t simply re-blog this page, because it’s in Spanish and not everyone might be able to apply Google translate — dunno. This is the site of my beautiful Spanish friend Laura, who is a teacher; and her fields includeeducation, disability, psychology and guidance. In these contexts she comes up with some fascinating and horizon-widening posts; and mineis about herlatest.

Thursday’s Special: Siesta

http://bopaula.wordpress.com/2014/08/... Here’s an oldie but a goodie, entered only a day late – I believe, in North American terms ? – for Paula’s non-challenge: It WAS a Sunday, and The Doctor was asleep, whilst I had been – until Stringer decided to sit down and share the couch with us. Mind you, there wasn’t much nicer than that family 3S:

A Ladybird’s review MATTERS

I’ve had reason to post links to B’s site before now, and on more than one occasion. But not like today …she’s posted a review for me ! Let me be honest about this: she sent the contents to me by email so that I could give them either a thumbs up or a scream of rage (this isn’t the

1 irritable whinge, 1 question

(a) It should be noted that there are some unusual and irritating things going on ‘behind the scenes’ with our blogging platform’s engines, these days. Maggie Wilson told me she read a notice from WordPress (I forgot to ask her where) announcing that they were about to undertake some kind of overhaul. I can say only that whatever they’re doing,

Feasts for the eyes

Today one gorgeous image and one gorgeous set of images. Why should youse all be so lucky ?!;-) The first comes from my frequently-accessed “Colossal”. I often think how much I’d like to go back to the kind of embroidery that we were taught at my convent school; and then I see things like this and think “Mm. Perhaps not …”

Irish blarney

Well, OK – it’s not. It’s a review of ATLMD written by an Irishman without the additional appealof any blarney. Mind you, JD’s posts do quite often remind one that the Irish are past masters at the art; but thereview is unadorned. No blarney here, just his thoughts. I’m always particularly delighted when a man reads ATLMD and indicates pleasure:

Reviews – in retrospect and in anticipation

I have been blessed with some of the most wonderful and heartfelt reviews of ATLMD that any one-off writer could possibly hope for, and I am very cognizant of the fact. I am, I hope I have made clear, also grateful almost beyond words. But I feel fairly sure that there are readers out there who are saying to themselves

A writer’s review

There are times when I strugglefor words. Hilary Custance Green is a writer of not just one but several books. She has honed her writing skills; for she writes fiction and is thusa personof imagination and creativity. I’m not being unduly orfalsely modest to say that in comparison with that kind of writing my single story, springing as it did
