This is a great question - I've actually had a few requests for a book about Lauren, and I'd definitely consider it. I'm a big fan of redemption in books, and I'd like to see Lauren make a turnaround. Another of my books featured a former Mean Girl heroine, and she remains one of my favorite characters ever. At the root of the bad behavior of people like Lauren is insecurity, and I like the process of exploring where that comes from and what can diminish it.
I'm working on a novella for an upcoming anthology, and then I'll be starting my new On the Line hockey series. But if something grabs me, I often work it in somehow, and it's very possible that could happen with Lauren. I'm also considering a short work with deleted and bonus scenes from all the Fire on Ice books, and something featuring Lauren would be a great fit there.

I have a few other projects I need to get to first. What do you think, does Troy need a story of his own? He's got plenty of demons, which always makes for a strong story.(less)

A big thank you to all readers who write honest book reviews. No one wants to hurt feelings (well, no one I like anyway), and I respect those who choose not to review a book if they wouldn't have anything good to say about it. I don't always get five stars from my favorite bloggers and readers, but I love knowing that when I do, I earned it. As much as I wish every book that every author wrote... “This is the prize I want,” he said. “Let me spend tonight with your heart instead of your head.”
Brenda Rothert, Bound

“The two of us were bound together by the thread of grief, but it wasn't just our mutual losses that united us. We'd survived them, found each other, and discovered that sometimes, from darkness can come light.”

“I wanted it back there, where I can’t see it, to remind me that …” He sighed and rubbed his jaw. “Sometimes even though you can’t see someone, they’re always with you.”

Brenda Rothert Thank you! It's exciting to see so many reviews coming in. I'm anxious to get started on the third book, but have to finish the one I'm working on first. I'm almost halfway done and may send you the first half when it's complete. I think you read the open of this one, if I remember right.

message 14: by Carrie

Carrie I feel like I'm seeing more and more reviews of one of your books in my feeds lately. And even better, everyone seems to like them. Congratulations! : )

Thanks, Michelle! I'm a big fan of Layla myself. I knew her and liked her in my head and hoped I could bring that out in writing this book. Layla's the kind of girl I just wish I could hang out with.

Michelle Brenda- So far I'm loving Now & Again and I only finished the first chapter... From the first book, I know everyone thought of her a villain but I liked her..Layla''s character seems more realistic than her sister Emma. I just love how fierce and independent Layla is. =)

~ Stephanie Lynn ~ Thank you for the add sweetie. Looking forward to your books.

Brenda Rothert No cliffhangers from me! When I write series I still like the books to be fairly standalone. I've been left hanging too many times as a reader. :)

Lisa Jayne Thanks for the Add ... Looking forward to chatting and checking out your books I'm in a no cliffhanger zone right now though so if you're an author who has incomplete series I'll be waiting LOL ❤ x

Brenda Rothert Yes, I'm loving The Opportunist so far. Dividing my time between that and Olivia Cunning. So many books, so little time. :) Thanks for accepting!
