A. Lynn Powers (pronounced as “Alien Powers” just for giggles) writes young adult fiction of all genres. She is a native of Memphis, Tennessee, but has recently relocated to New England, where she spent some time as a homeless lady, freeloading off of friends for an indeterminate amount of time.

Six years of her life were spent in Japan, where she could often be found sitting in a restaurant while drinking her weight in tea and soda, tripping over her own feet, unsuccessfully navigating the subway systems of Tokyo, or butchering the Japanese language. She enjoys writing useless lists, collecting cute socks, and making faces at children in public behind their parents’ backs.

She has recently returned to her day job as a pediatric

And I am in the process of writing Volume 3, and actually, I am almost finished! But... I have taken a break for a little while to step back from the story so that I can go back to it later with fresh eyes. I felt like I was missing something, but I was working on it nonstop for so long that I couldn't even keep up with myself! Once Other Nightmares is out, I can start to work on it again! It should be out some time next year! (less)

K.C. Finn Hiya!
Since you're enjoying Shadeborn so much, I just wanted to drop you a line about a brand new book of mine that everyone can read for FREE! It’s in the Swoon Reads program at the moment, which is free to join, and readers can interact with the text, leave comments, ratings and reviews to see if they enjoy it!
So let me introduce you to The Vespertine, by K.C. Finn:
https://www.swoonreads.com/m/the-vesp...
A serving girl barters for her mother’s life with a half-vampire beast in Victorian London…
London, 1887.
Fifty years have passed since The Great Vanquish, when the vampires of England were wiped out by humankind. But the vampires left something behind when they were tossed to the flames.
The Vespertine.
Human by nature, these curious beasts can only reveal their vampiric side in the dusk-light. Venturing out at dusk is a fool's task.
Tally Bryce has no choice. A serving girl in a scrubby Whitechapel inn, Tally is at the beck and call of her vile masters. Turning seventeen isn’t easy in a whorehouse and opium den, and her career prospects are looking slim. Worse than Tally’s future is the bitter fact that her beloved mother no longer has one.
As she sits beside the deathbed, Tally faces Hell itself. But what if there was another way? A way to cure her mother’s ailments and leave the grime of Whitechapel forever?

I really hope you have time to take a look and see what you think of the book. If there’s any sharing or promo I can do for you in return, please do let me know!
All the best!
K.C.
