Happy 2017 everyone!

I hope you all stepped safely into this New Year. May it bring you a lot of joy and many happy moments.

My holiday is almost over, but oh I wish it would go on a little bit longer. I’d planned to get so much more work done, but alas… Being stuck in bed with a stupid cold for over a week, that so wasn’t what I’d hoped to achieve with my free time. On the plus side, I’ve finish...

Cristelle’s Recent Updates

Ruby Heart by Cristelle Comby
“I’ve always believed that, as long as we’re left alone to do what we’re good at, and be who we’ve decided to be, things will turn out all right in the end. Now, me being strapped to a chair, unable to see what is going on, and Egan coming to the rescue, carrying a freaking bomb. That is not — by a mile — all right.”

Blind Chess by Cristelle Comby
“As darkness falls and sleep pulls at me, I wonder, not for the first time, about life and death. Both are real and neither would exist without the other. They balance each other, as do night and day. Hot and cold. Summer and winter.
Some people struggle with this concept. At times, they even forget all about it. But if you remember just one thing, let it be this: life always balances itself out.
For every bad guy out there, there is someone equally good to make things right again.”

Blind Chess by Cristelle Comby
“Life is short, precious, and should not be wasted.
Everyone has a chance at it. We’re equals after all.
There are no pawns, no kings, and no queens.
We’re all humans and we all have the same value.”

Blind Chess by Cristelle Comby
"The characters in Blind Chess were very real for me. I don’t think that you must read the first three to enjoy this work, but certainly any series is richer if you come in from the beginning. The early two or three chapters had passages where you..." Read more of this review »
Russian Dolls by Cristelle Comby
"It 's a short but very exciting, realistic mystery.
Alexandra Neve is a student at University College London. She's a very lonely girl, doesn't make friends easily. Instead she is attuned with Irina since their first meeting and immediately she bec..." Read more of this review »
Russian Dolls by Cristelle Comby
"In 2014, I read the third book in The Neve & Egan Cases, Danse Macabre. At the time, it didn't feel like I missed much starting partway into the series. The book drew me in right away and this crime-fighting duo were characters I enjoyed getti..." Read more of this review »

“When a man is standing at the top of a cliff, it isn’t fear of falling that keeps him rooted to the edge — it’s the fear of not being able to resist the desire to jump, just to see what falling feels like.”
