Interview with Author Viv Drewa!

1. Please tell us something about yourself. When did you know that you wanted to be an author?
When I was 9. I was an avid reader and after reading all the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books I came across one that made a huge impact on me. Its The Whistling Sword by James Robert Green. It was amazing! Out of all the books I read in my youth that is the only one I remember clearly.
2. What process do you need in order to write?
I use a screenwriters technique; the What if..After I get my idea set up there I start doing

Help a fellow author

Savannah Grace, author of the Sihpromatum series, has written two books so far. They are travel memoirs from the perspective of a teenage girl.
First of all, if you havent read them, please do. They are great books. And she is a lovely person too.
Second, we need your help. You may have heard that Mark Zuckerberg announced a book club. It is concentrating on learning about other cultures. He has also asked for suggestions. I have suggested Savannahs books. Please either like my comment here. Or add your own comment in the thread. Lets call attention to an indie author who has written some great books.
Third, reblog this and spread the word.
THANK YOU!!!
The Sunday Show – Defining Moments with Author Nicholas C. Rossis
Really interesting interview! Sally has author Nicholas C Rossis as her guest today.

Welcome to the new series of the Sunday Show. Over the next few weeks my guests will be talking about their work and also sharing some personal reflections on Defining Moments in their lives.
Most of us begin our journey in life with a rough map drawn up of where we want to be at various stages along the way and also what we hope to have accomplished. Of course much will depend on circumstances and events that happen to us but also there is an element of luck or perhaps fate in the eventual outcome.
Today my guest is an author and blogger with a wide ranging audience who appreciate his posts on writing and publishing as well as advice on marketing our books. Nicholas C. Rossis is the author of the epic fantasy series Pearseus and a science fiction short story collection, the Power of Six

The Ebook Doctor – Making your own Ebooks by David Cronin – Part One.
Here’s the start of a fabulous series – met The Ebook Doctor!

Over the coming weeks David Cronin will be giving a step by step guide to formatting your Ebook for both Mobi and Epub. Although Moyhill is a Self-publishing company we are also aware that many authors wish to do the entire process themselves and we have always been very happy to assist those with that level of commitment. Our philosophy is that the better all Ebooks look and read the more credibility Indie publishing will achieve. It benefits our own authors if the reading public and critics have a healthy respect for self-published books.
Part One.
Now that we can see vigorous growth in the Ebook market even more of us closet writers are going to come out and publish our own books without the help of either Mainstream publishers or Self-publishing support services. With so many new books hitting the market it is even more important today to make

How to handle Stress
Very true.

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected theyd be asked the half empty or half full question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired, How heavy is this glass of water?
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz to 20 oz.
She replied, The absolute weight doesnt matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, its not a problem. IfI hold it for an hour, Ill have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesnt change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.
She continued, The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for

#Read about Guest #Author Clive Mullis
I’ve really been looking forward to reading this one – haven’t had a good chuckle for ages. Love Terry Pratchett and Tom Sharpe is the funniest writer I’ve ever read, although regardless of them – this one’s already on my Kindle and the peek I’ve had so far is brilliant!

Hello to you all, Im Clive, and first off, thanks to Chris for this opportunity to grace his famed and wondrous site.
Who am I? What am I? Now theres a good question.
I live in the UK in the county of Bedfordshire in a small market town with my wife, son and dog. I have many interests that keep me from going totally insane; I love sports in general but mainly football (I follow Watford), and archery in particular. Sadly I no longer attend football matches but I am a regular at my archery club, shooting compound for those who wish to know.
Anybody whos come across me in their meanderings through the ether of cyberspace might have come upon references to my former profession. I spent thirty years as a paramedic during which time I saw life, and death, as few people ever do.
The emergency services are

The Guardian – Another Progress Report

Is one of these The Guardian?
As Im halfway through writing chapter two of The Guardian, I need to take a break while I do some more thinking. Without giving too much away, I will say that at this stage in the novel there is an undeniable sexual tension gradually developing between the two main human characters Adler and Lynne. Whether or not they become lovers, I havent decided yet.
Ive just introduced a third human character Professor Ephraim Adelmann, an old friend of Adlers. Lynne is not best pleased by his attitude towards women.
Like most of the academics I formerly worked with for twenty-five years at the University of Waikato back in New Zealand, while academically brilliant, Ephraim wouldnt last five minutes in the real world. His speciality is ancient languages. I based him on a particular academic I have admired for years who works in

Toying with Twitter and Fidgeting with Facebook

Ive been toying around with Twitter and Facebook to see if anything brings in different numbers in terms of sales. This has been an accidental experiment since it began during the 2 week break that my son had. Basically, I missed days or tried something to save time on what I was doing. Im going to do this as a list though because its hard to put my findings into any other form. As usual, this is only what Ive experienced and most of what I say could be different for others.
First some Twitter mechanics revelations:
