I wasn't super interested in learning about Snow's background and about the first 50% of the book was hard for me to really get into but once we get back to District 12 I finally felt right at home. It was nice to see some origins and history and connections to Katniss. Overall, if you're a Hunger Games fan you mi Read more of this blog post »

I wouldn't say that overall this book gave me any spectacular feels, but what I liked most about it was the plenty of original details. The existence of doorways that lead to other worlds in and of itself may not be original, but I feel lik" Read more of this review »

“Hurry now, Meg, before the others wake up without their souls and then we'll be in a load of trouble.”
M.R. Pritchard, Sparrow Man

“I’m not saying no because I don’t want to support you. I’m saying no because I spend my life fixing up broken people. I can’t stand the violence. Not when I have people walking into the ER who are beat to crap. I just can’t watch it.” “I understand.” “If it were something else, I’d go. Like if it were downhill skiing or turtle racing, I’d be there.”
M.R. Pritchard, Let Her Go

“There’s nothing more annoying than being woken up at noon to the sound of a riding mower and Weedwacker and leaf blower, and knowing that you have to go back to work in six short hours.”
M.R. Pritchard, Let Her Go

Jessica I've been on here since July, trying to remember any book I have ever read and adding it, LOL. I do love to read, but I have been doing a lot more of it since joining this site. It's kind of fun to keep track of your progress. Plus it's nice that it has recommendations for new books to read. I like it :)
