Woman, wife, author, photo hunter, lover of beauty, sipper of tea, internet buff, cat feeder, collector of the useless, perplexed. This is just my Ego.

Gisela was born in a small coastal town near Lisbon, Portugal. The salty breeze and sunny days of her childhood contrast with her taste for urban life, people rushing in streets and the sound of rain falling on concrete.

Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke
“I beg you, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”

Woody Allen
“I don't want to achieve immortality through my work; I want to achieve immortality through not dying. I don't want to live on in the hearts of my countrymen; I want to live on in my apartment.”
Woody Allen, The Illustrated Woody Allen Reader

Stephen Fry
“If you know someone who’s depressed, please resolve never to ask them why. Depression isn’t a straightforward response to a bad situation; depression just is, like the weather.

Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness, and loneliness they’re going through. Be there for them when they come through the other side. It’s hard to be a friend to someone who’s depressed, but it is one of the kindest, noblest, and best things you will ever do.”
Stephen Fry

Alan W. Watts
“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.”
Alan W. Watts, The Culture of Counter-Culture: Edited Transcripts

Alan W. Watts
“Trying to define yourself is like trying to bite your own teeth.”
Alan W. Watts

Alan W. Watts
“We seldom realize, for example that our most private thoughts and emotions are not actually our own. For we think in terms of languages and images which we did not invent, but which were given to us by our society.”
Alan W. Watts
