I do not, in fact, have a pug named Leon. But you might jus be the first reader to notice that he makes a cameo in each Ellie Stone book.

Someone I worked with twenty years ago had a pug named Leon, and I thought it would be fun to put him in a book. Then it became a game many years later. Now he’s the only character besides Ellie and Fadge who appears in all the books. I call little Leon an Easter Egg. A little treasure hidden somewhere in each of my books.
