I write romantic suspense and sci-fantasy. Under my pen-name, Lady Jaguar, I also erotic MM romance.

I also write book reviews, both on my own website (https://www.jaynelockwood.com) and for WROTE Podcast, a queer forum for storytelling of all types under the LGBTQIA umbrella.

There are no rules to my writing, apart from needing an HEA. I cannot write a story without one. My characters are a diverse mix of gender and sexuality. Basically, I write what I enjoy and hope people like it!

The worst thing you can do is not write, in my opinion. It doesn't have to be about that particular thing you are struggling with. It can be something completely different, but whatever it is, the creative juices are flowing and it takes you far enough away from the problem that you can see it more clearly. I've always find that, anyway. And you might have something you can use later - a poem, something for your blog, a snippet of another book. The important thing is to keep the words flowing.(less)

You create whole worlds and characters, put words in their mouths, put them in situations and see how they react. Sometimes they can surprise you.

And great reviews. That is a fantastic feeling, when someone you will never know or meet actually bothers to write a wonderful review. Best. Feeling. Ever.(less)

Jayne Is following the same as friending? Aargh I'm confused! Don't want to appear aloof, just don't know what the hell I'm doing. I'll get there... In the meantime, here is a cheeky link, before someone slaps me down and says its against Goodreads etiquette ...

Actually no, I've changed my mind. Show some class, woman!

Jayne I'm kind of throwing this out there, as I'm new and I'm not sure how Goodreads works just yet. I love books, I love writing, and I love giving opinions that probably nobody wants. If you want to catch my blog, the link is http://www.jaynelockwood.com/diary/ or if you just want to chew the fat over books, that's cool too. Happy reading and writing!
