Pathological Optimist? - crisis hopping, soapbox karaoke
Here is some work inspired by a common theme in my portfolio: the power of perspective. Am I a pathological optimist? There is always something to be grateful for. Gratitude is a special vision that unlocks the value around us. Your point of view is the most valuable thing you own. You only truly possess what you can appreciate. This isn't about ignoring negative feelings, being unauthentic, or being blissfully ignorant. Instead, it's about understanding that a good portion of your reality is shaped by how you interpret the world. It requires practice and I often have to revisit this idea, but it's a perspective that has helped me many times in my life.

DALL·E 2 / Dalle2
DALL·E 2 has opened a world of possibilities for creative content creation. Creatives are filled with both amazement and fear. Will the artist go the way of the bowling pin setter, ice cutter, pre-radar listener, lamplighter, milkman and switchboard operator? I am intrigued and excited! My curious nature overrides self preservation. How this will change the landscape of “the creative”? I embrace innovation and change. Will there be a point when I will eventually become a Luddite?
I have attempted to create my own composition generators in the past: Nate Williams Composition Generator (see video here) and other primitive pre AI attempts at apps such as PROCONist - data mine your diary and find patterns in your life.
Predictionslower barrier to entry for generating content will increase noise to signal (like electronic music)
new scalable systems will be utilized for filtering quality content based on smarter systems that correlate content to emotion/perception (converge qual+quant) vs legacy signals: likes, shares, comments, dwell times
creatives will play more of a role as directors and less as individual contributors
increased productivity vs. job loss
price of art will be impacted (increased supply vs demand)
competition for human engagement will increase
increase in dynamic personalization vs. static taste makers
Here are some artificial intelligent images I generated from the following prompt by just changing the style parameter.

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
