Sabrina Giles was born during a storm, in a room with no windows and no electricity. She used to hate reading fiction so much her mother made it a punishment, and then suddenly something clicked. Now she can’t stop writing it.
Ensuing Darkness is the first in her series The Dark Chronicles. She's persistently working on its sequel, as well as a couple other projects you might see popping up soon.
When she’s not writing, she can be found spending time with her husband, being crafty or making tasty messes in the kitchen.
She & her husband currently live in Illinois with a boxer, a fat cat, and are expecting their first child.

For instance, sometimes the cure for the "I'm stuck!" writer's block is to either take a break for a while (clear your mind of the frustration) and come back to beat the problem into submission. Other times, the block can be caused by a semi-subconcious feeling of guilt from sacrificing too much time away from your family, or the dishes. Just take a few days away from writing and reconnect. The third kind is the "I can't think of anything no matter how much I try" block, which means you're probably low on creative juices. This happened to me a while back and, because I fought it and was in denial, it took me a long time to refuel. To cure this block, you need to distance yourself from your writing, not going back to it at all, and go do something. Anything. Make sure it's something you love doing. And go on an adventure. You'll be able to tell it's working because you'll start getting flashes of inspiration, but don't hit the computer just yet! Scribble these flashes somewhere, and then keep going. You'll get to a point eventually where you know it's time to sit and write again, but make sure it's the right time. This block is one of the hardest to overcome, because many writers go back to writing too early.(less)

But also, it's awesome hearing how much people enjoy these crazy concoctions that pop in my head. I love people, and this gives me the coolest way to connect with complete strangers without being all weird.(less)
