Chris Van Dyke was raised in a small town of 1200 people on the Southern Oregon Coast. Which is why it seems so unlikely that he would have spent the last 17 years living and teaching in New York City, but such is the way of Fate. When he is not hoping to interest teenagers in the public school system in reading and writing, he is himself reading and writing. He has written a dozen short stories and is currently querying his first finished novel, the epic-fantasy "Dragon's Curse." He has 2 other works in progress.

There may be an episode of Steven Universe that doesn't make him cry, but he can't think of it right now.

Malbadeen When I was getting my hair cut the other day and we had allready run through all the how are the kids and what are the places you've been and etc, etc. I asked her if she'd read anything good lately and she said she was reading "The Secret" I thought of your shelf "books I discuss as if I've read",I wished it were you in the chair and not me cuz all I could think to say was...ohhhhh.
It's my 2nd favorite shelf I've seen on goodreads.
