Fragments of Horror by Junji Ito
"I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. Sadly, the stories are generally lacking the unsettled feeling you get from the best Ito. The artwork is amazing and there are some gems (“Whispering Woman” and “Black Bird” especially) both overall it is " Read more of this review »
Fragments of Horror by Junji Ito
"There were some decent creepy stories here (Turtleneck was a fun thriller-y horror, Gentle Goodbye was a good ghost story, Blackbird was creepy, and Whispering Woman what good as kind of psychological horror), but the duds kind of killed this collect" Read more of this review »
Fragments of Horror by Junji Ito

More of Laurence's books…
Ayn Rand
“Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real.. it is possible.. it's yours.”
Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

Oscar Wilde
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
Oscar Wilde

Christopher Marlowe
“Mephistopheles: Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it.
Think'st thou that I, who saw the face of God
And tasted the eternal joys of heaven,
Am not tormented with ten thousand hells
In being deprived of everlasting bliss?”
Christopher Marlowe, Dr. Faustus

William Shakespeare
“All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.”
William Shakespeare, As You Like It

John Shirley
“If the modern world were a patient in my care... I would diagnose it suicidal." - Dr. Sofia Lamb”
John Shirley, BioShock: Rapture
